Where will you be working as a Product Owner?

What will you do as a Product Owner?

Fyndoo is on the lookout for a proactive and enthusiastic Product Owner with a strong Fintech heart, to join our dynamic team. As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in our product development. You will be responsible for the features that will be built by four teams, of which three teams in the Netherlands and one in Vietnam. Other key responsibilities include:

Setting the Vision

The Product Owner is responsible for defining team component visions that align with the vision regarding the product and ensuring that all development efforts align with that vision. You need to communicate the product's long-term goals and strategy to the development team and the effects on the team component.

Defining and Pitch Features

The Product Owner is responsible for declining, creating and pitching features for the product backlog. You use several factors, including business value, wishes supplied by customers, and market trends, to make informed decisions about what is valuable for the product. So, as a Product Owner, your job is to define valuable additions for our product. More importantly, you must be able to say no and reject certain wishes or developments!

Defining Epics and User Stories

You are responsible for breaking down high-level features into smaller, actionable user stories and involve your team in this process like the analyst, developers, tester, etc. These user stories describe the functionality from an end user's perspective and help the development team understand the requirements. In addition, you are also responsible for a correct administration in Jira.

Prioritizing the team backlog

As a Product Owner you are responsible for creating and maintaining the team backlog, a prioritized list of epics, user stories, and bugs. You collaborate closely with stakeholders like the product management team to gather high-over requirements and ensure the backlog reflects the overall product backlog.

Accepting or Rejecting Work

You are responsible for accepting or rejecting the work completed by the development team during sprint reviews. You ensure that the delivered product meets the acceptance criteria and is in line with the product's goals and if you reject the completed work, it cannot be released or go live.

Stakeholder Communication concerning priority and scope

As a Product Owner you are responsible for maintaining transparent and effective communication with customers, Release Lead, Implementation Consultants, Delivery Managers and other stakeholders keeping them informed about the prioritization and scope of the work. This entails actively engaging with stakeholders, sharing insights into feature priorities, and ensuring a clear understanding of the product's evolving scope, all while fostering a collaborative environment for their valuable input and feedback.

Provides input for marketing and sales

You are actively provide input on issues that are important in retaining and acquiring new customers. This can include input on contract negotiations, sales activities, marketing activities like product releases, revenue models and customer feedback.

Establishes and maintains good functional descriptions of the product

As a Product Owner you are responsible for an up-to-date functional description of the product that you are responsible for. This so that everything is clear to users and other stakeholders.
