Job description
The Corporate Operational Risk Management (CORM) department resides in the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) domain. CORM maintains the non-financial risk framework and policies related to control and processing risks, coordinates second line monitoring of SOx and key controls, coordinates the quarterly operational risk capital calculations, implements concrete NFR improvement initiatives, and provides direct operational risk management support to corporate functions and ING Hubs.
In CORM, you as Officer Non-Financial Risk will manage a team of 3 experts in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) domain and - together with the team - be responsible for:
- Performing second line monitoring on the design and operating effectiveness of control frameworks monitored by ORM, which have been implemented in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) domain;
- Advising and challenging the 1st Line of Defence and other 2nd Line of Defence functions in the CTO domain on adhering to the key NFR Framework procedures;
- Actively participating in Risk Thematic meetings and the NFRC of the CTO domain;
- Coordinating and executing the quarterly NFRD process in the CTO domain;
- Supporting the Leading and Non-Leading Risk Managers activities for critical regulatory programs in the CTO domain;
- Monitoring data quality in the CTO domain;
- Giving feedback to Policy Owners to improve their documents;
- Supporting iRisk improvements via role in expert group.
Your work environment
You will be operating in a challenging international environment. You will have stakeholders in the 1LoD of the CTO domain as well across all other NFR and Compliance departments. You will report to the Head of Corporate Operational Risk Management.
Your profile
You have proven leadership capabilities and can demonstrate to possess a sense for good stakeholder management. You have good knowledge of and experience with ING’s NFR Framework and related procedures: you have extensive experience with second line monitoring and knowledge of Financial Reporting requirements. You are hands-on, can work in a multi-disciplinary environment and are able to manage virtual teams. Required Skills:
Experience as senior NFR Officer with at least 5 years in risk areas that are relevant for Operational Risk Management
Knowledge of banking business, processes, procedures and systems.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across lines of defense
Strong ability to earn trust and respect of team members and stakeholders
Ability to be firm when needed and show flexibility when possible
University Degree or equivalent
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
