ING is looking for a Front-end developer to work in the Fraud & Cybersecurity tribe in the Netherlands.

We are
The Fraud and Cybersecurity tribe and our goal is to prevent and detect fraud. We build the login for the ING web banking applications for multiple countries, the approval components but also the tools to manage the security settings for customer. In short, we make sure our customers’ accounts are safe!

You are
An engaged engineer who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues. You like to build great features and applications and can work with colleagues in- and outside of your team to figure out how to do that and integrate the available solutions. Next to your work in the squad, and learning a lot, you also like to share knowledge and improve the way of working within ING.
A JavaScript developer with plenty of experience in developing Front-end applications with JavaScript, HTML and CSS. You have knowledge of, and experience with, the latest JavaScript versions and preferably with Web Components concepts and technology with litHTML and litElement or want to learn about these in the company that is one of the leading ones in these technologies.
An engineer with experience in web testing, for example with Karma, Chai, Sinon and Jasmine and are familiar with continuous Integration tools like: GIT, Jenkins, Yarn, NPM, and can configure these tools.
An engineer with good analytical skills and conceptual understanding. You are able to quickly understand new technical concepts and technology and you have a strong interest in the latest trends in software development and technology. You have strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-techies. Your English in speaking and writing is fluent.
A security minded engineer who knows all about or is interested in learning how to build secure web applications.
Someone with a11y (accessibility) experience or you want to learn all about it.
Maybe someone who knows Java well enough to help back-end colleagues every now and then, but it’s not an issue if you don’t.
What you'll do
Your daily work will consist of:
Developing new and improving existing features
Reviewing code
Refinement of stories
Writing automated tests, unit and end-to-end
Building and deploying
Monitoring
As this position is a sensitive position an enhanced reliability screening is part of the onboarding process
