Project Owner (PO) Compliance Trade- and Communication Surveillance

ING Wholesale Banking Compliance Markets is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player to be part of the Compliance Markets Trade- and Communication Surveillance team .

The opportunity

As Project Owner (PO) working in the Compliance Officer Markets team, you are exposed to the highly dynamic and demanding environment, where you have to safeguard the reputation of ING. The Markets domain is a heavily regulated environment. The sub team Compliance Markets Trade- and Communication Surveillance plays a crucial role with regards to protect the organization from market abuse risks. The team is responsible for setting the global framework regarding ING’s approach in trade- and communication surveillance and you as PO will be steering the project and implementation of the roadmap. The roadmap is based on regulatory requirements and expectations and can change based on market conditions. Becoming a member of the team means that you will be in daily contact with specialists in the compliance teams (Amsterdam, Singapore, NY and London), first line (Financial Markets and Group Treasury) and other stakeholders (Wholesale Banking Financial Markets, Tech, etc).

The team

Compliance Markets Trade- and Communication Surveillance Team consist of 7 colleagues based in Amsterdam. The team has a lot of knowledge and experience in the Financial Markets; trading, mid-office and back-office. The team works closely with the IT team that supports the deliverables of the roadmap and both teams are located in the same office space.

Roles and responsibilities

• Roadmap creation, alignment and communication. Also continuous evaluation.

• Priority setting long term and short term. Taking into account local and global regulators/stakeholders, technical possibilities, available compliance or IT capacity.

• Preparing and giving biweekly updates.

• Preparing and leading discussions in relation to priority setting, delays, etc.

• Preparing and leading meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

• Communicating between senior stakeholders, the IT teams and the compliance team

• Creating and biweekly updating epics, features and milestones.

• Preparing for and participating in the quarterly QBR process, also with other tribes like data management.

• Creating sprint reports.

• Aligning on requirements in relation to local regulations and local users.
