The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active and enthusiastic Analyst to join our ING Corporate Investments team. Corporate Investments is part of ING Wholesale Banking, responsible for all risk bearing financing instruments, including minority equity investments, preferred shares, convertible debt and subordinated debt. We are active across a broad range of industries and geographies and in various phases of companies’ maturity. In this role you will play a key part in the structuring, execution and managing of complex equity and debt transactions.

Job description:

In this job you will play a key role in the structuring and execution of complex equity investments and subordinated debt transactions. The job involves:

• Assessing investment opportunities including (i) evaluation of business models and financial statements, (ii) financial modelling and forecasting, (iii) writing investment proposals and (iv) coordinating internal and external parts of the deal process;

• Supporting senior team members in transaction origination and execution;

• From day one frequent contact with (prospective) clients, external advisors (e.g. corporate finance/debt advisors, lawyers,consultants) and co-investors as part of transaction execution and portfolio management;

• Managing equity participations and subordinated debt positions;

• Preparing pitches and presentations, market analyses, financial analyses, internal reporting, shareholder meetings, etc.;

• Coaching & educating interns;

• Collaborating with other ING teams, such as Corporate Finance and Sector teams, to create integrated client solutions

Candidate profile

For this Analyst position we are looking for the following minimum qualifications

• Master’s degree with excellent results

• Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis

• Strong planning & organizing capability, ability to manage competing priorities and assignments

• A commercial, pro-active and entrepreneurial mind-set;

• Determination and dedication towards achieving results under tight timelines

• You are willing to go above and beyond for the sake of the team

• Fluency in English is required

• Fluency in Dutch is required
