
Junior DM IRD Trader
The Opportunity
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be part of the Developed Markets linear IRD trading team that actively makes markets in different IRD products and in different DM currencies to both corporate and institutional customers. You will be managing the different books and contributing to the further build-out of our DM IRD franchise.
The DM IRD trading desk is part of the bigger Rates trading team at ING, which also includes other Rates trading teams both in Amsterdam, the CEE region, New York and Asia.
Key responsibilities
Servicing sales/customers

Assist senior traders in accurate and swift pricing service

Build good relationships with sales, internal and external customers in order to increase the franchise
Managing market risks

Analyse trading books and assist the senior traders with adjusting positions while optimizing revenue and staying within limits at all time

Maintain a high focus on the different DM IRD markets and generate trade ideas
Contributing to the build-up of the DM IRD desk

Cooperate with internal quant teams to build/improve pricing tools

Bring up ideas to automate the sales-trading workflow

Use data analysis to improve trading risk management but also pricing service

As a junior DM IRD trader you will also need:

a master degree in finance, economics or applied sciences

excellent analytical skills and relevant coding experience

at least one year of relevant IRD trading experience

to be fluent in English

to be an effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
