
Network Sector Coverage Banker, Service Clients Portfolio
The Opportunity
We are looking for a committed, ambitious and delivery oriented person who is willing to join the team for this exciting position, that also provides a lot of opportunities to learn and develop a profound understanding of the Corporate Sector Coverage (‘CSC’) business and our core clients. The Network Sector Coverage (‘NSC’) team is part of the ING WB CSC in Amsterdam. The NSC team operates as the first point of contact for all the NL subsidiaries of multinational clients of ING serviced out of Amsterdam. You will be working in a diverse and dynamic client-facing team of highly dedicated professionals. The Network bankers are responsible for the relationship management with these clients in co-ordination with the Parent Account Manager (‘PAM’) who manages the relationship on group level. The team also co-ordinates between the various products so that the clients needs are met and a superior client experience delivered.
The NSC Service Banker is responsible for efficiently managing the portfolio of international subsidiaries (LAM entities) of our global clients (PAM clients) that do not require an active relationship coverage in the LAM country, or this is limited to service only, but are part of the global relationship

in line with the Wholesale Bank’s coverage strategy, including segmentation, on-boarding and off-boarding,

in cooperation with primarily the service teams and operations teams, and when required also with the PAMs and product teams

with the aim of delivering the daily banking value propositions to such clients when required and in an efficient and optimized manner
The NSC Service Banker reports to the Head of Network Sector Coverage in NL.
Role and Responsibilities:

Ensuring delivery of the required products and services efficiently and in close co-operation with product and clients service teams

Support new clients onboarding requests (wherever these meet the internal commercial hurdles) and assist in new business origination opportunities

Work with the PAM, Compliance and central off-boarding teams to keep the portfolio clean from both compliance and commercial perspective

Adhere to the LAM segmentation of the portfolio between Active and Service clients

Ensure that his/her portfolio operates with an acceptable risk tolerance and adheres to regulatory parameters

Annually review the portfolio for off-boarding possibility or in certain cases transfer relationship from Service to Active coverage

Attention and closer focus on Service clients with potential to develop and grow the relationship. Make sure active contact is maintained with those clients and also PAMs

Monitor the returns on the assigned clients on a portfolio basis, analyse trends, make suggestions to improve coverage efficiency and/or optimizing the growth potential

Share knowledge and foster a culture of collaboration and inclusiveness, client focus, continuous improvement and innovation in line with ING's Orange Code.

In co-ordination with the Head of Network Sector Coverage NL, actively contribute to the development and implementation of EMEA LAM strategy

Closely collaborate with other team members, share responsibilities and participate in other team initiatives and/or projects.
Profile:

Experienced banker (min 3 years of relevant experience) with commercial track-record in successfully handling client servicing and daily banking needs

University Master degree in Economics/Finance, Management, Law or comparable

Good daily banking product and servicing knowledge

Client focused and able to understand client needs

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work and co-ordinate efficiently in a multiple stakeholder environment

Enthusiastic person with high level of self-motivation

Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload but also clients focus

International mind-set and cultural sensitivity as well as a highly collaborative personality with strong team player attitude to be able to work with in a multi-country, multi-cultural environment

KYC and regulatory environment knowledge and experience.
