Finance Information Management, which is part of Financ ial Accounting Tribe within ING Domestic Bank Netherlands, is looking for a strong and enthusiastic Product Owner for our Data Integration Squad.

In Finance Information Management we enable the delivery of valuable and reliable financial information and data of high quality to fulfil ING’s reporting obligations and to support decision making both for Financial Accounting and Finance Business Advice.

The team continuously adapts to changes in the bank’s business, its products, processes and IT infrastructure, to ensure proper reflection in the financial , ESG and management reporting. Together with the end users, the team is responsible to ensure we continuously comply with the changing regulatory reporting and data requirements. Changes are delivered in accordance with the Finance strategy, regulatory requirements, and business changes. Information Management consists of a team of 25 people of different nationalities , most of them Business Analysts working in squads with Dev Engineers.

Role and responsibilities

The foundation of the DBNL Finance target architecture focusses on onboarding the source data for all DBNL products in the Finance Datawarehouse through the DBNL Data Lake and to bring a wide range of current derivations to a future proof solution. We are now delivering the first steps of the implementation, but a lot is still to come. The Finance data integration squad is building the key foundation in line with our target architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Driving the delivery of one of the Tribe’s strategic programmes by working as a Product owner in an Agile team of Business Analysts and Dev Engineers, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including professionals from Finance, Data Management, Architects, Risk Management, Product Areas.
• Developing the Agile team’s product roadmap and managing the Agile team’s backlog
• Ensuring stakeholder requirements have been captured and delivered based on priority whilst maintaining the integrity of the features and solution
• Identifying and resolving process / system improvements to enhance customer experience and team productivity
• Supporting the Tribe with some BAU activities such as problem resolution and risk/remediation projects.
• Act as Business Analyst in the squad

Furthermore, you have:

• 4+ years of relevant experience as a product owner, business analyst or on delivery of project initiatives, preferably across business and IT. Having a Product Owner certification is a plus
• Finance and banking products knowledge
• Experience in Agile working with busdevops squads
• Preferably has experience in process optimization and/or data management
• Is self-motivated and confident to work independently whilst also performing more complex tasks and analysis.
• Has a good track record in delivering results
• Has a holistic view and determines priorities based on context
• Is a go-to-person for the team when encountering challenges
• Is capable of influencing stakeholder expectations to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved.
• Challenges and improves own work and that of colleagues continuously
• Serves as an example by delivering and asking feedback, thereby constantly challenging the team creating a learning culture
