Portfolio Manager, who will be part of the Portfolio Management team within ING WB / Sector Coverage / Real Estate.

Job description

You are responsible for the quality and in-life management of a portfolio of credit facilities made to institutional real estate investors. Your job duties include :

• Deliver and process high quality financial and credit analyses, green light proposals, credit proposals and annual reviews;
• Coordinate and monitor the credit approval process and assist in the loan documentation process;
• Function as primary contact for the client and the relevant stakeholders within ING WB with regards to the assigned portfolio;
• Closely cooperate with the Origination & Execution team (O&E) in preparing (client) meetings, pitches, credit facilities, commercial activities and meeting reports;
• Manage/optimize the data quality and the credit- and operational risks of the assigned portfolio;
• Ensure all required KYC data is collected from the clients in the assigned portfolio, and processed in the ING WB systems in a timely manner;
• Create and maintain solid relationships with other relevant ING departments and stakeholders.

Your work environment

WB RE NL is responsible for managing the relationships that ING holds with the largest, mostly international, players in the Dutch real estate sector. The facilities provided to these clients contain a variety in structure and complexity, which requires an adequate professional level of coverage. The WB RE NL team consists of some 13 professionals, of which 8 are dedicated to Portfolio Management. The other team within the department is responsible for the origination and execution of new transactions. You will work with O&E members in a deal-team set-up and will have the opportunity to provide close support to the origination process.

WB RE NL works closely together with various branches of ING to service joint clients with other products than real estate lending, such as FM, ECM, DCM and TS.

Your profile

Candidates meet the following job requirements:

• Master degree, preferably in real estate (MRE/MSRE);
• Commercial track record of at least 5 years in a comparable position in the financial services industry and experience in working with complex finance structures;
• Sound (credit) analytical and numeric skills;
• Good organizational skills with the ability to co-ordinate and prioritize work;
• Ability to operate individually but in a team as well;
• Keen eye for detail and diligent;
• Strong interpersonal and communication (orally and in writing) skills;
• Knowledge of the real estate sector, WB and LMA documentation is preferred
• Good command of English and preferable Dutch as a language.
