The opportunity
The purpose of the role is to establish and implement the Finance strategy and ensure seamless delivery of finance services which are compliant with relevant regulations and requirements.

This person leads the Finance ComFin & Lease department which operates as a shared service center providing finance services to Lease Netherlands, Commercial Finance (ComFin) Netherlands, Commercial Finance Belgium/Luxemburg, and Supply Chain Finance (Wholesale Banking product).

Finance ComFin & Lease is part of the Tribe ComFin Market Leaders which is part of Business Banking ML. The CFO ComFin & Lease has a functional line with Finance DBNL and reports hierarchically to the Tribe lead ComFin Market Leaders.

Role and responsibilities

As the CFO ComFin & Lease you are responsible for:
o Establishing and implementing the strategy for Finance, treasury, financial accounting, and finance business advice.
o Treasury:

  • Funding, FX transactions execution.
  • Payments, incoming and outgoing.
  • Bank accounts management.
  • Factorlink Manual Entries (Internal transfers/client income adjustments).

o Financial Accounting for Lease NL, ComFin NL and Supply Chain Finance.
o Finance Business Advice:

  • Management reporting (e.g., RFC, CP/VR, Sales) for Lease NL and ComFin NL.
  • Projects & business support for Lease NL and ComFin NL.

o Statutory responsibility for the legal entities of ING Commercial Finance BV and ING Lease (Nederland) BV and its subsidiaries.
o You are a member of the leadership teams of ComFin and Lease.
o Ensuring compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements.
o Develops and leads people to meet their individual goals, career- and organizational goals.
o Builds the craftsmanship of the employees working for the department Finance ComFin & Lease.

  • Master’s degree.
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant management experience in Finance.
  • Knowledge of finance and legal requirements, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • You ensure excellent operational processes, you continuously strive for improvement, and you initiate and supervise change processes.
  • You have an affinity with IT in connection with various complex (payment)systems like Factorlink, EKIP and IBCC.
  • Proven experience with the ING Agile Way of Working is a plus.
  • Experience with Factoring, Lease is a plus.
  • You are used to manage different stakeholders.
  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent level of English and Dutch.
