Who are we:
You will be working as part of global Trade & Commodity Finance (“TCF”), in the Agri team based in Amsterdam with 6 other TCF professionals. The team is responsible for developing and managing the TCF Wholesale Banking global Agri client relationships within the Commodities, Food & Agri sector. Clients are the world’s largest agricultural commodity merchants and processors. The sector plays an essential role in our daily lives and is impacted by a wide variety of global or regional events (trade disputes, political instability, climate change, changing consumption patterns, sustainability drives etc). As a top commodity bank we have direct dialogues with CEO’s, CFO’s and treasurers on the global issues affecting the Food and Agri business, on our Daily Banking offering as well as on High Value Added products.
What will you do?:
- Run independently (with back-up from seniors) credit processes from Term Sheet phase to booking in the system, including commercial greenlight process, financial and credit analysis process, negotiation, risk approval and documentation, including collateral constitution (if any).
- Support global business origination and ongoing development incl. cross buy e.g. Syndicated Loans, Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Debt and Equity Capital Markets and all other relevant products within ING WB network.
- Manage relationships effectively with all relevant stakeholders, including Senior Management and Risk, coordination towards the global network, ING offices and product specialists as our clients are serviced worldwide;
- Maintain data quality of credit files and ensure adherence to compliance, KYC and internal policies; and
- Keep up with relevant sector developments and leverage on this expertise by adding strategic value for TCF NL Agri clients and the global TCF franchise.
Who are you?:
- Academic degree preferably in Business Economics (or similar), Food & Agri specialization is desired;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant banking experience e.g. Structured Finance, Corporate Lending;
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Demonstrated interest in and affinity with the TCF Sector and commodity clients;
- Experienced in leading, managing and execution of credit approval process;
- Knowledge of Wholesale Banking non-lending products, including Financial Markets and Investment Banking products;
- Excellent communication and social skills, as demonstrated in prior roles;
- A self-starter, not afraid to pick up the phone and share ideas; and
- Team player who is hands-on, thrives on a dynamic environment and jumps through hoops with a smile on his/her face;
- A professional who manages complexity, drives results, communicates effectively and has business insights with a genuine interest and eagerness to develop TCF sector knowledge.
