Data Analyst – Global Tribe Fraud Services (GJA Data Analyst IV / Global Job Level 16 / ING Job Level 10)

You, as an amazing Data Analyst, will help us realize our ambition of being mobile first, frictionless, relevant and strive to deal with fraud in the best way we can, by supporting in designing the data flows and data storage that will allow us to monitor, report, and analyse the data from all ING countries, and then create automated reports and actionable analyses that will help is in making the right prioritized decisions going forward.

What do we stand for within Global Fraud

The purpose of global fraud, is to proactively protect ING, its customers and society against fraud, enabling all to experience banking as safe and frictionless, while we keep setting the standards in efficient and effective processes, and keep pushing for satisfied customers, colleagues and regulators

What does global fraud do?

Not to sound cliché, but no day is the same at the innovative Global Fraud department as can be illustrated by some of the topics we are currently working on:

  • We need to design and build the data flows and storage across countries,
  • We need to design a data taxonomy so that all information is comparable
  • When in place,
    • we will build proper automated reporting towards internal and external stakeholders
    • We will use key metrics from this data to base our backlog decisions on, in order to maximize our impact on fraud losses or customer expectations
    • We will use the data to analyse trends, and be flexible in adjusting course based on these insights
    • We will facilitate the data scientist in using the newly to be built datalake

Data Analytics team and responsibilities

While you will be responsible for building and delivering a proper data driven environment. You will become part of an existing team within the local NL organization, therefore you have smart colleagues around you in the same playing field, but you will (first) be solely responsible for;

  • Creating similar data taxonomies across countries
  • Understanding the data flows across countries and systems, and pool all data towards a new datalake (to be built by IT colleagues)
  • Build automated reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyse existing data for trends, to enable the product owners in the tribe to improve our journeys as a result of these insights

  • You are able to build reports that can be used by operations and squad members
  • You generate, analyse, and present relevant customer insights and enable personal and relevant customer interactions through smart data analysis

Your competencies

  • A master’s degree in the field of analytics, mathematics, econometrics, or other analytical studies
  • Bridgebuilder: understand data and translate the insights into actions for your stakeholders
  • ~ 2-4 years of demonstrable experience with data analysis via e.g. SQL , SAS, Excel, Cognos, R, Python
  • You like to continuously develop yourself
  • You take initiative but you value cooperation just as much
