What you will do

As a senior communications business partner Advice within Internal & External Communications, you are the discussion partner and first point of contact for one or more board members/business units of ING. By proactively offering your expertise, you contribute to the realization of the business objectives. You will communicate ING's brand and reputation principles to the business and vice versa, you will contribute business input to the development of the corporate communications policy.

The role of the colleagues in the Advice team is currently undergoing change. They will be working in an account structure and (for part of the time) and will be acting as a communication business partner for one or more of the board members or domains within ING Netherlands. You will play a key role in this change within the team, by supporting and coaching the colleagues in the team in this role and way of working (alongside the expert lead of team Advice).

Furthermore, you are responsible for the realization of (complex) communication projects, both for 'your' domains as well as for the whole organization. This can be communication for internal audiences (leadership and colleagues), external audiences (other stakeholders of ING) or integrated communication for both audiences. You make plans and carry them out together with colleagues from your expertise team or one of the squads within the CoE. This includes advising the board and (senior) management, making communication and change plans and ensuring their implementation. You also stand for measuring and analyzing the effects of communication and continuously implementing improvements based on learnings gained.

Your work environment

The senior communications business partner Advice will work in the Centre of Expertise Communications & Brand Experience of ING in the Netherlands. In the Centre of Expertise, communication experts in the fields of branding, advertising, media, sponsorship, internal & external communication and media relations work on ‘becoming the most desirable banking brand in the Netherlands’. The communications business partner we are looking for is part of the Advice team within the Internal & External Communications NL area, and reports to the expert lead Advice. The Advice team consists of 8 communications experts working bank-wide in the areas of strategy and change communications, employee engagement and reputation management.

Who you are

You are a versatile communications professional with a passion for thinking and doing and have earned your stripes in the profession. You have a clear vision of how to use internal and external communication to support ING's strategy. You are seen by others as a true expert and appreciated for your clear communication advice and drive. With your creativity and analytical mind, you contribute to the improvement of our internal and external communication. You know how to convince - even with resistance - based on content and personality. You have proven experience in and affinity with advising board and (senior) management in a business environment, preferably in the role of business partner. You are motivated to play an exemplary role in the team and to support and coach your colleagues in the new way of working. You are an example of the ING culture (Orange Code) and recognize yourself in the corresponding behavioral profile.

As a senior communications business partner Advice, you also have:

• A Master's degree preferably in Communications or Reputation Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience with corporate communications, change communications and/or reputation management in an (international) matrix organization with a large diversity of stakeholders, preferably in the role of business partner
• Broad experience in consulting at board level
• Experience and/or affinity with the agile way of working
• Excellent language skills in Dutch and English

Als communicatie business partner Advice binnen Interne & Externe Communicatie ben je gesprekspartner en eerste aanspreekpunt voor een of meerdere directieleden/business onderdelen van ING. Door proactieve inbreng van jouw expertise draag je bij aan realisatie van de business doelstellingen. Je draagt de ING merk- en reputatie uitgangspunten uit in de business en brengt andersom de business input in bij het ontwikkelen van het corporate communicatiebeleid.

Verder ben je verantwoordelijk voor het realiseren van (complexe) communicatieprojecten, zowel voor ‘jouw’ businessonderdelen als overkoepelend. Dat kan gaan om communicatie voor interne doelgroepen (leadership en collega’s), externe doelgroepen (overige stakeholders van ING) of om geïntegreerde communicatie voor beide doelgroepen. Je maakt plannen en voert deze samen met collega’s uit je squad of expertiseteam uit. Dit is inclusief advisering aan directie en (senior) management, het maken van communicatie- en veranderplannen en het zorgdragen voor de implementatie daarvan. Ook sta je voor het meten en analyseren van de effecten van de communicatie en het continu doorvoeren van verbeteringen op basis van opgedane learnings.

Je werkomgeving

De communicatie business partner Advice gaat werken in het Centre of Expertise Communications & Brand Experience van ING in Nederland. In het Centre of Expertise werken communicatie-experts op het gebied van branding, advertising, media, sponsoring, interne & externe communicatie en media relations aan ‘becoming the most desirable banking brand in the Netherlands’. De communicatie business partner die wij zoeken is onderdeel van het team Advice binnen de area Interne & Externe Communicatie NL, en rapporteert aan de expert lead Advice. Het Advice team bestaat uit 8 communicatie-experts die bankbreed actief zijn op het gebied van strategie- en verandercommunicatie, employee engagement en reputatiemanagement.

Als communicatie business partner Advice beschik je ook over:

• Een Master in bij voorkeur Communicatie of Reputatiemanagement
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring met corporate communicatie, verandercommunicatie en/of reputatiemanagement in een (internationale) matrixorganisatie met een grote diversiteit aan stakeholders, bij voorkeur in de rol van business partner
• Ruime ervaring in advisering op directieniveau
• Ervaring en/of affiniteit met de agile manier van werken
• Uitstekende taalvaardigheid in Nederlands en Engels
