
Product Area Lead
The Opportunity
As part of the management team of Tribe Payments you deliver a differentiating experience for Wholesale Banking customers for payables and receivables, anytime anywhere at optimal value and profitability for ING. Within the team you set the direction and deliver the roadmap for our Payables & Channels products.
The Team
As the Product Area lead you are the business owner of our competitive and innovative Payables solutions and the payment and reporting modules in our channels (including pricing). This makes you responsible for the product P&L, the digitalization strategy, the priority setting and the product management. Together with the IT area lead you lead an international team across multiple locations consisting of BusDevOps squads to make the difference for our clients. Wholesale Banking Tribe Payments works conform Agile-principles in self-organizing teams. Important aspects in this way of working are initiative, flexibility, continuous development, continuous improvement, collaboration and active and positive collaboration within your team and with other teams.
Roles and responsibilities
As the Product Area Lead

You will lead the Payables & Channels area, therefore, you will drive the commercial, financial and delivery execution of the products. You do this as a role model of the ING Orange Code.

You develop a differentiated and innovative Payables & Channels offering. You do this by continuously benchmarking our competitors position and taking best practices within the ING group.

You safeguard the financial results of the products to achieve our interest and fee income results. You collaborate closely with the pricing teams to anticipate the correct pricing strategy.

You improve the speed of execution while taking into account the (non)-financial risk appetite, prioritization of “value to client” actions and best customer experience.

You steer the delivery and make sure we deliver to promise. You know what is going on in the squads, manage dependencies, resolve impediments and keep track on our velocity.

You are responsible for the compliance of ING's Payables products and payment channels with internal and external regulations and financial and non-financial risk policies. You are IT asset and/or data owner for all relevant IT assets and data in scope.

You are expected to represent ING at various industry forums and conferences (or delegate representation) and to meet clients, both to represent ING on their product area as well as collate relevant industry-related trends and information

Technical skills

Master’s degree
-
5-10 years’ proven track record at management level

Relevant experience in (international) payments area is a must
-
Affinity with IT is a must
-
Sound experience in building strategic roadmaps

Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact

Excellent level of English
