The law imposes more and more requirements on financial services. For example, ING - like all other banks in the Netherlands - is obliged to know who its customers are and what these customers do with their products. This is why ING conducts research into its customers at the start of and during the relationship. These obligations for ING follow are related to the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft) and the Financial Supervision Act (Wft).

Customer Due Diligence (CDD) aims to prevent financial and economic crime from entering the financial system and thus abusing the integrity and trust of the financial system and causing reputational damage to ING.

CDD (Customer Due Diligence) and the associated KYC (Know Your Customer) activities have become an indispensable part of sound business operations.

Your tasks

As a KYC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in preventing financial and economic crime that is harmful to ING. Your tasks include:

• conducting 'Know Your Customer (KYC)' and Due Diligence checks of new and existing clients, this includes research into the entire corporate structure of a client, its business activities, the board and the ultimate stakeholders and the execution of various screenings. In addition, you communicate directly with the relevant stake holders, with Front Office, Compliance and with other departments involved
• you ensure that CDD processes are completed within the agreed timelines
• you draw up research reports including risk considerations and you ensure that the CDD Status of clients is recorded in internal systems.

Your work environment

As a KYC Analyst you work within Business Banking for the KYC Circle Real Estate Finance in a self-managing team consisting of fifteen colleagues, spread over 3 regions. You are connected to the North region (based in Amsterdam). We work hybridly, about half the time in the office and half the time at home.

You are also someone who realizes that maximum customer satisfaction is essential. In your work you strive for an optimal balance between the interests of all stakeholders involved.

In addition, you have:

• HBO work and thinking level;

• Excellent oral and written expression skills, both in Dutch and in English;

• Knowledge of and experience with the business domain;

• Preferably knowledge of and affinity with the main laws and regulations for KYC processes;

• You are eager to learn

• You take initiative and you keep yourself informed of current developments within your field.

• Affinity with real estate is an advantage

De wet stelt steeds meer eisen aan de financiële dienstverlening. Zo is ING - net als alle andere banken in Nederland - verplicht om te weten wie haar klanten zijn en wat deze klanten met hun producten doen. Dit is de reden waarom ING bij aanvang van én gedurende de relatie onderzoek doet naar haar klanten. Deze onderzoeksverplichtingen voor ING volgen uit de Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financieren van terrorisme (Wwft) en de Wet op het financieel toezicht (Wft).

Customer Due Diligence (CDD) heeft tot doel te voorkomen dat financieel-economische criminaliteit het financiële systeem binnendringt en zodoende de integriteit en het vertrouwen van het financiële systeem kan misbruiken en reputatieschade voor ING oplevert.

CDD (Customer Due Diligence) en de bijbehorende KYC (Know Your Customer) -activiteiten zijn een onmisbaar onderdeel geworden van een integere bedrijfsvoering.

Jouw taken

Als KYC Analist vervul je een cruciale rol in het voorkomen van financieel-economische criminaliteit die schadelijk is voor ING. Je taken bestaan uit:

• het uitvoeren van ‘Know Your Customer (KYC)’ en Due Diligence checks van nieuwe en bestaande relaties, hieronder valt onder meer onderzoek naar de volledige bedrijfsstructuur van een relatie, haar bedrijfsactiviteiten, het bestuur en de uiteindelijke belanghebbenden en het uitvoeren van diverse screenings. Daarbij communiceer je zowel schriftelijk als telefonisch direct met de betreffende relaties, met Front Office, Compliance en met andere betrokken afdelingen.
• je zorgt ervoor dat CDD processen binnen de afgesproken tijdslijnen worden afgerond
• je stelt onderzoeksverslagen op inclusief risico-afwegingen en je zorgt dat de CDD Status van relaties in interne systemen wordt vastgelegd.
  

Jouw werkomgeving

Als KYC Analist werk je binnen Business Banking bij de KYC Circle Real Estate Finance in een zelfsturend team dat uit een vijftiental collega’s bestaat, verdeeld over 3 regio's. Je bent verbonden aan de regio Noord (standplaats Amsterdam). We werken hybride, ongeveer de helft van de tijd op kantoor en de helft van de tijd thuis. Er is veel ruimte voor persoonlijke verantwoordelijkheid en zelfstandigheid.

Daarbij heb je oog voor detail en ben je zeer nauwkeurig in het vastleggen van (onderzoeks)gegevens. Bovendien werk je graag in een team samen met collega’s en beschik je over uitstekende (communicatieve) vaardigheden om ook met andere partijen en met relaties van ING relevante zaken te bespreken en af te stemmen. Ook ben je iemand die zich realiseert dat maximale klanttevredenheid essentieel is. In je werk streef je naar een optimaal evenwicht tussen de belangen van alle betrokken stakeholders.

Daarnaast heb je:

• HBO werk en denkniveau;
• Uitstekende mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheden, zowel in het Nederlands als in het Engels;
• Kennis van en ervaring met het zakelijke domein;
• Bij voorkeur kennis van en affiniteit met de voornaamste wet- en regelgeving voor KYC processen;
• Je bent leergierig
• Je neemt initiatief en je houdt jezelf op de hoogte van actuele ontwikkelingen binnen je vakgebied.
• Affiniteit met vastgoed is een voordeel
