ING is looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a DevOps team within the Global Customer Data Management tribe

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who is passionate about coding and IT Security. Does providing a continuously secure and customer friendly banking environment to millions of customers sound interesting to you? Please read on!

Global Customer Data Management

As Global Customer Data Management we e mpower ING by providing a single customer view, digital access to all customers and standardized customer data services . W e are developing high-speed, high-volume solutions that must be available 24/7. To deal with the complexity of serving millions of customer data in different countries, we work with an innovative framework based on Domain Driven Design. This is the place where you will make an impact on ING’s strategy, serving both retail, business, and wholesale client segments around globe.


Your role

You will be working in a Bus-Dev-Ops squad. This means working on cross border solutions and providing services to ING worldwide. The average squad consists of engineers, customer journey experts and a product owner. As a team you are end-to-end responsible for the customer journey you are working on. You own the stack and the journey!

Your daily work will consist of:

  • Refinement of story's

  • Coding

  • Reviewing

  • Testing (Automated)

  • Building and deploying

  • Monitoring
     

What do we expect from you?

First and foremost, you need to be a strong coder and you need to have a n interest in IT security. You have to be a true team player. You speak up, are transparent and not shy to stand up for your own opinions. You have an instinctive need to share knowledge and continuously improve yourself and the team.

Required skills

  • Java and Spring ( Boot )

  • Secure and clean coding

  • Monitoring (ELK, Grafana)

  • Agile & Scrum

Nice to have

  • Domain Driven Design (DDD)

  • Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

  • Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines

  • Neo4J, Cassandra, Elasticsearch

  • Kubernetes, Openshift

  • Kafka

  • Scala or A kka Streams

  • IBM MDM ( Master Data Management )
