Business Consultant Private Banking

What you’ll do
As a Business Consultant within Private Banking, you will work within the team Business Management & Change (BM&C) as part of the department Business Development & Customer Experience (BD&CX). The purpose of this team is to ensure that our sales organization is optimally equipped to serve our customers in the best possible way. One way we do this is by delivering and improving important sales applications such as our financial planning tooling and Salesforce. It will be your primary responsibility to collect and prioritize requirements on which improvements will be made. You will also monitor complaints and incidents as input for improvements to the applications. Together with the team, you will work on implementing improvements. Finally, you will analyse the usage of these applications to determine how you can improve the effectiveness and increase usage of all the features within these applications by our sales colleagues.

Being successful in this position means staying in continuous contact with the organization and your stakeholders. This requires strong communication skills, combined with sharp eye for agreements made, organizational sensitivity and quality. You will work closely with a variety of people within the sales organization, as well as with the BD&CX teams (data, marketing, risk) and other IT-delivery teams within ING. Your results are team’s results. Within your will work together according to agile principles and within your team you will have clear responsibilities.

Role and responsibilities
This challenging and varied position is a great opportunity to discover the dynamic world of Private Banking. You will quickly build a large network, as you will work with many different colleagues and stakeholders within the domain. You will be part of a professional team consisting of around 10 colleagues that goes by the saying “work hard, play hard”. The department, BD&CX, has a broad set of responsibilities within the Private Banking domain, ranging from risk management to (strategic) marketing, to consulting and data analytics & management. This will allow you to learn from other colleagues and teams within the department and better understand the business of Private Banking.

• Strong interpersonal skills. You find it easy to communicate with all levels of the organization, written and verbally, in English and Dutch (formal and informal).
• Good stakeholder management. You know who you need to keep informed about what and when.
• Good analytical skills. You are good at placing problems and incidents in a broader perspective and connecting the dots.
• You have a drive to continuously and proactively improve our processes and systems in order to better serve our customers.
• You work accurately and data driven.
• A proactive contribution to your personal development. You’re interested in your professional discipline and enjoy staying up to date with the latest developments.
• Having a LSS Greenbelt certification and/or prior experience with Salesforce is an advantage.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• At least two years of relevant experience.

Business Consultant: wat ga je doen?
Als Business Consultant binnen Private Banking ga je aan de slag in het team Business Management & Change (BM&C) binnen de afdeling Business Development & Customer Experience (BD&CX). Dit team heeft als doel om via de sales onze klanten nog succesvoller te bedienen. Belangrijke ondersteunende programma’s zoals onze financieel planning tool en Salesforce worden in samenwerking met speciale Salesforce teams ontwikkeld. Het is jouw verantwoordelijkheid om op basis van vragen en wensen van de Sales collega’s uit te zoeken welke verbeteringen aan deze applicaties nodig zijn. Je behandelt klachten en incidenten en gebruikt dit om de applicaties te verbeteren. Je werkt samen met je team aan de implementatie van de programma’s en je gaat nadenken over het gebruik van deze applicaties. Zoals hoe je ervoor kunt zorgen dat collega’s in de sales de tools volledig benutten. Interne communicatie speelt hierbij een belangrijke rol.

In het werk sta je in continu contact met jouw stakeholders. Dit vereist goede communicatieve en sociale vaardigheden waarbij je tegelijk ook scherp bent op gemaakte afspraken, rolverdeling en kwaliteit. Je werkt nauw samen met contactpersonen binnen de salesorganisatie en natuurlijk ook met andere teams binnen BD&CX. Jouw resultaten realiseer je natuurlijk samen met je team.

Wat mag je verwachten?
Deze functie van Business Consultant is uitdagend en afwisselend waarbij je een groot netwerk opbouwt binnen Private Banking en binnen andere afdelingen van ING. Je wordt onderdeel van een gezellig en professioneel team van ca. 10 collega’s. De afdeling heeft een brede verantwoordelijkheid binnen het domein Private Banking en is verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling van strategie, change, marketing, data en risicobeheersing voor Private Banking. Dit biedt volop gelegenheid om naast je functie veel te leren en te zien op de andere disciplines.

Omdat we altijd bezig zijn met hoe dingen beter kunnen, vinden we het erg belangrijk om ook onszelf op persoonlijk en inhoudelijk vlak te blijven ontwikkelen. Het brede scala aan interne trainingen helpt je direct op weg. Voor jou bestaat de kans om je te ontwikkelen op procesverbetering door middel van de Lean Six Sigma methodologie (Green Belt). Je krijgt een opleidingsbudget dat je samen met je manager kunt inzetten om je persoonlijke trainingsbehoefte in te vullen. Maar eigenlijk komt ontwikkeling overal terug: zo delen we binnen het team inzichten, marktontwikkelingen en andere learnings op regelmatige basis met elkaar. Naast het mooie werk dat we doen, organiseren we ook veel sociale activiteiten met elkaar, bijvoorbeeld een gezamenlijke wintersport en teamborrels, als ook sociaal-maatschappelijke activiteiten. Denk hierbij aan plastic opruimen of samen bomen planten.

Wie zoeken we?
Je bent een enthousiaste teamspeler met goede communicatieve vaardigheden. Een echte aanpakker die goed in staat is om vragen en wensen uit de organisatie te beoordelen en te vertalen naar passende verbeteringen. Ook voldoe je aan de volgende eisen:

• Je daagt jezelf continu uit om 100% te presteren en jezelf te ontwikkelen;
• Je bent analytisch sterk en werkt data-gedreven;
• Je bent in staat helder en duidelijk te communiceren met stakeholders op elk niveau;
• Je beheerst de Nederlandse taal uitstekend in zowel woord als geschrift;
• Je beheerst het Engels goed in woord en schrift;
• Ervaring met Salesforce is een pré;
• Ben je reeds gecertificeerd als LSS Greenbelt, dan is dit een pré;
• Je hebt een HBO of WO diploma;
• Je hebt tenminste 2 jaar relevante ervaring.

In de functie van Business Consultant bij ING Domestic Bank NL heb je naast een uitstekend salaris ook recht op 24 vakantiedagen en een 13e maand als onderdeel van een ruim pakket van secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden. We zoeken kandidaten die 36 uur per week willen werken. Je zult ongeveer de helft van de tijd vanuit huis (kunnen) werken.
