About the tribe KYC Services

KYC Services aims to minimize the risk of ING becoming involved in money laundering, terrorist financing or other reputational risks. This includes customer onboarding, periodic and event driven reviews, name screening, pre-transaction screening, post-transaction monitoring, and ultimately the offboarding of customers.

By providing policy, process design and tooling, tribe KYC Services contributes to our social role as a gatekeeper to protect our financial infrastructure against financial crime.

Our tribe consists of the following areas:

• Policy team
• KYC Cockpit
• CDD & Digitization
• Transaction Monitoring
• Screening
• Data & Management Information

Your role as KYC Business Process Analyst

As a Business Process Analyst (also known as Customer Journey Expert) you are part of one of our squads within the area CDD & Digitalization. Those squads are multidisciplinary teams of 6 to 15 people, both Business Process Analysts and IT engineers.

Within the area you are responsible for the CDD processes for business and/ or private customers. You will work on topics like Mobile Onboarding, the automation of periodic reviews, or customer outreaches to complete our KYC data. You challenge the status quo and recommend changes to policies, processes, standards, and practices that would improve compliancy, efficiency, and/ or customer centricity.

You’ll do this in close collaboration with various squads within and outside our KYC Tribe. You’ll be in close contact with for example the Policy team, Compliance, and KYC Operations do define the new process. You collect and analyse data together with your colleagues from the Data & MI area. You’ll clearly define and refine user stories together with your IT colleagues. You’ll test the new processes, write workplace instructions, model the process in our BPM tool Aris, and implement the changes at for example Client Services or KYC Operations. Along the way you’ll keep all stakeholders informed of planning and impediments.

Your work environment

The CDD & Digitalization family of tribe KYC Services can be found in the beautiful and inspiring new ING building Cedar, a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Bijlmer-Arena station. We are working in a hybrid mode; ~50% from home and ~50% from office.

Our tribe is expanding, so we currently have a couple of vacancies in different squads. Each squad has their own fixed days at the office, but we’re flexible as long as work allows.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, eager Customer Journey Expert who proactively makes processes more effective, customer-friendly, and efficient, who excels in stakeholder management and has an affinity with KYC.

You find it important to deliver the best performance every day in your work. You are naturally curious and want to know the bottom line. You work in a structured way and you have a personality with which you inspire colleagues to realize concrete improvements. You are proactive, enjoy working together in a team and know how to distinguish main issues from side issues.

You have completed a study at HBO/WO degree, and you have at least 3 years of demonstrable relevant work experience in the field of process improvement in the financial sector. Experience with KYC is an absolute advantage. Knowledge of the IT landscape within ING is also appreciated.

Within tribe KYC Services, the official language is English because of several international colleagues. You therefore have excellent oral and written expression skills in both English and Dutch.

Onze tribe bestaat uit de volgende gebieden:

• Beleid
• Publiek Private Samenwerking
• Delivery squads, E2E verantwoordelijk voor KYC processen en tooling voor zowel particulieren als zakelijke entiteiten
• KYC Cockpit
• KYC Center

Jouw rol en werkomgeving

Als Customer Journey Expert maak je deel uit van 1 van onze squads die gericht zijn op KYC processen die generiek zijn voor alle klantsegmenten. Het betreffen allen multidisciplinaire squads waarin zowel Customer Journey Experts als Developers werkzaam zijn.

Je zal de generieke KYC componenten gaan optimaliseren die gebruikt worden voor zowel zakelijke als particuliere klanten. Denk daarbij aan offboarding, MOT meldingen, of grote onderzoeken naar het risico op witwassen, terrorismefinanciering en belastingontduiking.

Dit alles doe je in nauwe samenwerking met diverse squads binnen en buiten onze KYC Tribe. Je zult daarnaast veel moeten schakelen met bijvoorbeeld Beleid, Compliance en het KYC Center.

KYC Services is te vinden in het prachtige en inspirerende nieuwe ING-pand Cedar, op 5 minuten loopafstand van station Amsterdam Bijlmer-Arena. Vanwege Covid-19 werken we momenteel voornamelijk vanuit huis, iets wat ook na de maatregelen ook deels mogelijk is.
