The Global Know Your Customer (KYC) organisation is a first line department providing the ING business and functions guidance with standardized solutions in the area of various KYC related regulations (on process, control, and digital solutions, etc.) as well as support to realize operational excellence.
The Global KYC Academy is part of the Global KYC organisation. It is our purpose to increase the KYC Knowledge level throughout the organization and to consistently deliver the best possible KYC learning experience for our employees. We want to adequately equip our KYC staff with the right skills and knowledge in our fight against financial crime so we can keep the bank safe. For that purpose, we are setting up and rolling out a global, educational program targeting over 10.000 employees across 20+ countries with professional courses for specific expertise and experience.
We have a vacancy for a senior Learning & Development specialist within the Global KYC Academy team. You will be involved with the development of state of the art learning solutions and frameworks on a variety of topics covered by our KYC related policies and requirements. You will be in contact with market leading vendors and you will be working with many colleagues from different disciplines, geographies and backgrounds.
Your function – senior Learning & Development specialist in the KYC Academy team
As a senior KYC Learning specialist, you work in a team of +/- 25 colleagues covering the whole range of learning and change expertise. Together with Academy team members you do everything within your power to ensure the quality and success rate of our learnings and that they are delivered on time and within budget.
You will work with your various stakeholders to drive the delivery of the KYC Academy’s learning initiatives as well as on individual tasks and assigned responsibilities. The Academy is responsible for the full learning life cycle, so you can expect your role to be varied while fully utilizing your expertise across multiple disciplines including (but not limited to) learning needs analysis, design and development, facilitation, assessment, virtual instruction, stakeholder engagement and project management.
The Academy utilizes digital and virtual learning environments to deliver its requirements and you will work with external partners to develop innovative and personalized ways of learning as well as first class internal initiatives using the resources available within ING.
What you'll do
Working with various stakeholders and utilizing your strong understanding of KYC, financial crime and compliance risk and non-financial risks:
- Provide expertise and coaching on best practice learning governance, required learning process, rulebook for e-learning development and learning channel strategy.
- Lead the yearly strategic KYC Learning Needs Analysis and definition of yearly KYC training plan for the year ahead, ensuring value for money and business impact.
- Design and development of global KYC learning for all staff (1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD) , Global KYC staff, Front Office staff, leading to “best in class” and “right first time” outcomes, by managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Be on top of innovative learning solutions; Know what is ongoing and upcoming in the industry, assess new learning methodologies
- Provide coaching to the broader Academy team on best practice and standards regarding all aspects of the learning life cycle.
How to succeed
- Academic degree, certification / qualification in Learning and development. Fluent English
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the financial services or professional industry. Knowledge about FEC regulations: AML, Sanctions, Tax, ABC is a distinctive advantage
- You have excellent learning and development skills encompassing the full learning life cycle, (Learning needs analysis, design, development, deployment, facilitation, evaluation and assessment), preferably supporting (global) financial institutions
- You have substantial experience with governance, assessment, learning design, e-learning development (with vendors) and course facilitation using virtual and face-to-face environments
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and customers at all levels of seniority and across functions and locations
- Proactive, Can-Do, No Surprises and Positive mind-set. Strong resilience; ability to navigate through ambiguity and simplify complexity without losing essence
- You are a great real team player, able to move easily between roles and develop strong professional relationships, with co-operative and collaborative working
