We have an exciting position vacant for an Analyst/Associate to act alongside relationship managers in providing creative financing solutions to clients active in the Transport & Logistics sector (“T&L”). From Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, New York Singapore and Brussels the T&L team covers the sub-sectors: Shipping, Aviation, Automotive, Land Transport and Containers & Logistics globally.

T&L team is part of the Sector Coverage organization of the ING Wholesale Bank.

T&L Amsterdam is an energetic and enthusiastic team covering numerous nationalities. Team members are always ready to help one another. Further it is interesting to note that many in the team started as trainee as well the team has a continuous turnover of internees and trainees doing rotations. Last but not least, all in the Amsterdam team work closely together with our T&L colleagues in the other ING offices worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

As Analyst/Associate you will be active in most of the sub-sectors and working on multiple tasks at the same time. As part of a team you will be assisting in:

• Relationship management and transaction origination

• Originating, structuring, executing and monitoring lending transactions; and

• Actively engaging and collaborating with other ING disciplines including Corporate Finance, CS&A, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance, Syndicated Finance and Transaction Services.

In particular as Analyst/Associate you will:

• Start to develop a profound understanding of the T&L sector;

• Monitor the existing credit portfolio;

• Assist in the origination of new business opportunities, preparation of marketing pitches, preparation of greenlight proposals;

• Prepare and process credit applications (and interact with credit risk management, legal, operations and other internal stakeholders);

• Review due diligence materials, assist in documentation negotiations and financial modelling; and

• Pick up internal projects together with colleagues within and outside the T&L team.

Qualification Requirements:

• Excellent team player in an multi-cultural environment;

• Strong analytical skills, and financial modelling skills are a plus;

• High level of self-motivation and commercial drive;

• Ability to multitask and to perform under tight deadlines;

• Authentic and confident presentation and communication skills;

• High proficiency in English and Dutch (verbal & written) is a must;

• University Master degree in Economics, Engineering, Law and/or an MBA;

• Ability and willingness to travel.
