The opportunity

Within the COO Risk & Finance Global Services organisation we are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Central Finance Location Strategy Programme.The COO Risk & Finance (COORF) organization delivers a wide range of different finance and risk-related services in the areas of change, operations, process optimization as well as data management, analytics and reporting for the Corporate Risk and Finance domains.

COORF plays a key role in supporting ING to become a data-driven organization and has a clear vision and purpose for the future: To deliver best in class data, insights and advice which empower our consumers to control, explain, predict and optimize the performance of ING.

Central Team:
Central Programme Team is introduced to drive and support the Finance Management Team with its sourcing strategy. Ensure we act in a compliant way, benefit from the lessons learned, have a unified approach for efficiency and oversight and safeguard the operating model with all the parties involved.

Joint Road to Success:

Close collaboration between the local Finance Departments, Head Office teams, HR, ING Hubs, Central Team and supporting/ control functions to work towards an operating model that works for all parties involved. Plan and execute different projects as part of the united vision, strategy and roadmap for the use of offshore locations by the Finance function.

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage Finance & Risk sourcing projects with the Finance Business Partners and the ING Hubs in line with the Intragroup Sourcing Transition Framework (ISTF)
  • Prepare and coordinate the deliverables required for the migrations
  • Manage the planning and roadmap and ensure that the project is executed in accordance with this
  • Maintain dashboards and take the lead in alignment meetings regarding initiation and execution of the roadmap
  • Help to resolve and mitigate risks, issues and impediments and support the team to collect and share best practices
  • Prepare for decks/content for the various meeting (MT, Project, Governance)
  • Support on the streamlining of the Finance Location strategy operating model, service model and (future) positioning of Finance capabilities
  • Work together with the Finance Location strategy team members, ING Hubs, HR, COORF Global Services teams and other internal stakeholders like Legal, Compliance and ORM/ IRM
  • You are proficient in stakeholder management, being aware of cross-cultural sensitivities. Manage the expectations regarding the project and able to make recommendations for the results thereof

  • 2+ years proven experience in supporting and coordinating global change projects or programs
  • You feel comfortable in dealing with internal stakeholders on all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Power Point and Excel
  • You have fast adapting personality with a strong sense of taking responsibility, initiatives and working independently
  • Strong analytical, communications and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines and to cope with a rapidly changing environment
  • You are result driven, proactive and having a hands-on mentality
  • Fluent level of English
