Your work environment

You work in ING’s Open Banking program, created to deliver ING’s Open Banking strategy. Open Banking evolves around Application Programming Interfaces (APIs): a way to easily open-up capabilities and share data. We believe it will help ING to accelerate innovation and collaboration with partners, customers, and platforms to improve customer experiences and create new business models. The key to success is our developer portal at developer.ing.com which enables parties to connect and create value in an easy, secure, and scalable way.

Your key responsibilities and qualifications

• As part of our Open Banking Development Team you develop, maintain, and improve our customer-facing portal developer.ing.com .
• You have +5 years of back-end and front-end development experience
• You also have full stack knowledge, like Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and JUnit.
• You have experience with UI components and modular-based architecture.
• You have knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• You have competent knowledge of Accessibility, Security, Performance.
• You have experience with continuous delivery and deployment tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
• You have a good understanding of API technology, OAuth, PKI/certificates/TLS
• You are competent in multiple programming languages (for example Java, Scala, and/or Python) to give support on customer-specific problems.
• You keep up to date on the latest technical developments relating to industry standards and best practices.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• You have strong communication skills and easily engage with customers.
• You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Someone patient, committed, and willing to fulfill a lot of different roles outside of traditional development, all while making sure the product is optimized for the largest possible audience. You will be at the heart of both from web technologies, such as Web Components, to API development and sometimes other technologies and tools to explore. You are meticulous, detail-oriented, and must possess creative and adaptive thinking skills, writes beautiful code, and always stays up to date with the latest technologies.
