Junior Customer Experience (CX) Consultant

The opportunity

And therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic customer experience specialist who helps ING build up effective and positive interaction with customers. A good CX consultant ensures the customer’s experience matches their expectations, while still taking company needs and goals into account.

Your working environment: ING Private Cloud (IPC)

ING's Private Cloud is one of the main projects contributing to the Think Forward Strategy. It’s the first step toward helping ING produce the same products and services throughout the entire world. The Private Cloud is set up to simplify and streamline current processes, first by simplifying the infrastructure landscape through standardization. It is also to improve and encourage ING performance culture by creating a highly engaged workforce that embraces the new technology.

The team

You will be part of a squad within ING's Agile organization, working together with other experts and collaborating with multiple (global) stakeholders across the organization, contributing to the backlog planning and execution of the squad goals.

ING Tech is an international hub for technology & innovation, developing IT solutions across ING in areas such as Core Banking, Big Data, Financial Markets, Data Management, Touch Point Architecture and many more. By using the latest methodologies in software development, our fast-growing team gathers more than 450 tech enthusiasts who work for international projects that go beyond traditional banking.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Gathering insights on customers and market developments to determine valuable new/improved features
  • Setting up customer research/experiments to validate the problem or solution fit
  • Translating the desired solution to concrete designs together with UX
  • Defining and refining with IT architects and engineers to get a clear picture of the required technical design
  • Cooperating with other business & IT squads to contribute to the changes we need achieve our goals
  • Defining an analytics (tagging) plan and setting up dashboards based on that
  • Working together with engineers to make sure everything is ready for development
  • Testing the new release to check if it works like it should before going live to our customers
  • Analysing usage of and feedback on our features to determine valuable iterations/improvements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant science (e.g., Business/IT, (Technical) Economics, Marketing, Computer/Data Science) with good results
  • 0-2 years of relevant education and/or of working experience, preferably in a Customer Experience role
  • A drive to continuously seek ways to improve the digital customer experience. Learning from customer feedback to create and implement optimizations
  • A curious mindset for the underlying application architecture, relevant IT landscape and technologies across different business units
  • Realization skills, ability to take on a challenge and make it happen
  • Strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and fact
  • You provide and ask for constructive feedback
  • A professional working proficiency skill level in English and Dutch
