The opportunity

The Air Traffic Control Team is an integral part of the Credit Risk Modelling organization where we manage our processes from modelling approach definition all the way up to postproduction monitoring. We serve as a central team that oversees all complex processes, data requirements and dependencies with all parties within the Credit Risk Modelling chain. We translate newest regulatory requirements into actionable roadmaps and facilitate the coordination among all stakeholders. Our team of highly ambitious and driven professionals offer global support to both local and central change initiatives by always being on top of developments across the globe and report on our overall progress towards the board and ECB.

COO Risk delivers baseline and change activities for the Risk Organization. Our vision and purpose for COO Risk is clear: To deliver best in class data, insights and advice which empower our consumers to control, explain, predict and optimise the performance of ING. We play a critical role at ING and will be the go-to function for all kinds of data across the Bank.

As part of the COO Risk, we are closely aligned with domains that are actively involved the modelling work. The ATC team is working hand in hand with the Credit Risk tribe to facilitate the go-live of all Rating Systems according to ECB timelines.

Role and responsibilities

Credit Risk is right at the heart of the Bank's complexity. All Wholesale Banking and Retail exposures need to be reported in an accurate, consistent and timely way to our internal and external stakeholders. The way we value our exposures is subject to complex and constantly changing regulatory and also tax requirements. All this complexity is captured into highly sophisticated partially home build credit risk capabilities.

  • Take seat in the overarching the ‘Air Traffic Control’ team to contribute to the full portfolio of CR Modelling change work from modelling approach definition up to post go-live monitoring
  • Coordinate end-to-end Credit Risk model implementation efforts [SA, Foundational and IRB] and facilitate communication to internal and external stakeholder management
  • Manage the implementation of a Rating System for several ING locations by bridging the gap to central teams
  • Interact and update all internal stakeholders from CRO, CFO, COO, WB and Retail Banking
  • Stress the collective goal and guide change teams and give direction
  • Anticipate to possible impediments and guide interventions with leads and stakeholders
  • Participate actively in knowledge sharing activities inside ING like community meetings and contribute to knowledge networks

  • Education at University with a Master degree
  • Proven record of relevant change execution experience preferably with international exposure
  • A personality and the capabilities to function effectively within an Agile environment
  • Competent knowledge of Banking/Credit Risk is a plus
  • Proficient expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary initiatives
  • Proven experience in large transformation programs with high impact
  • Excellent level of English
