Your job

Within the Corporate Credits Grid, we strive to enable entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in society. This starts with simpler, faster (and thus digital) processes to improve the day-to-day experience of our clients and employees. However, ABN AMRO believes that it needs to re-imagine its lending services in order to stay relevant for entrepreneurs in a rapidly changing world. This will lead Corporate Credits on a journey beyond traditional banking and will require us to apply more data-driven solutions and integrated solutions with external partners.

Taking a glance at the IT Landscape of Corporate Credits; it includes ~20 scrum blocks (“squads”), working together in one Grid (“tribe”) and has a variety of platforms and technologies:
• Home build Java applications running on Azure
• Commercial of the shelf applications, running within our own data centre or as SaaS
• Tibco for workflows
• Cobol & Mainframe for heavy processing

Working environment

As Test Q/A Engineer, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. Next to this, with your experience and expertise we also expect you to support other teams within our grid on testing activities and contribute to the testing community.

Some glimpse on activities you’ll be involved in:
• Test new features on different test levels (integration, system, functional, regression, exploratory testing), write and/or conduct test plans with schedules and dependencies, as well as carry out manual and automated tests.
• You are responsible for creation & execution of manual/automated tests
• Participates in product creation process in an early stage with the focus on QA. And also produce defect metrics and reporting on the full QA process..
• Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore, you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
• Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes.
• Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events.
• Focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focussing on holistic solutions.
• On a strategical level you mentor your team, evaluate technical assessments, do recruitment and interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.

Your profile

You feel at home in a technical environment and are always up to date on the latest technologies. At the same time, you are people minded and a tactful inspirator. You get enthusiastic from creative and innovative solutions, and you inspire others to get started with these new opportunities. Furthermore, you constantly look to push the boundaries of new possibilities. Do you think you‘re a fit? Check your profile:
• Have 8+ years of experience in the field of testing
• Have expertise in manual testing, test automation with proven project experience
• Have knowledge on the following methods: test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, load/security testing, web/api/mobile automation;
• Have hands-on experience on tools in each of the following area;
o GUI Testing
o API Testing
• Understand code(Java and other programming languages) and know how to work with it
• Cloud technology experience(preferably Azure)
• Have experience on working in multiple teams and co-ordinating testing activities, and to give advice on testing matters
• Enjoy coaching, mentoring and helping team members to grow
• Speaks English fluently and Dutch is a plus
