The opportunity

The Integrated Risk department is looking for a hands-on, proactive and flexible assistant to support the Integrated Risk management team members. In this support role your purpose is to make the life and tasks of the team heads easier so they can be more effective, focus on their job and priorities.

The team
The integrated Risk department is a newly formed department consisting of the following teams: Environment, Society & Governance (ESG), Risk Governance & Frameworks, Model Development, ICAAP analytics, and Recovery & Resolution Planning.

The ICAAP analytics team is responsible for preparing analyses for the Management and Supervisory Board on bank-wide risk topics that are not exclusively related to one risk type, and as such contribute to the development and maintenance of the ICAAP framework. Prepares stress testing analyses, update, improve and report on the risk appetite framework (including the risk assessment), further develop the economic capital framework, prepare risk disclosures.

The Recovery & Resolution Planning team is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of ING Bank's Recovery Plan, and coordinating the efforts needed to become resolvable according to the requirements set by the Single Resolution Board (SRB).

Your focus will primarily be on the ICAAP analytics and Recovery & Resolution Planning team. This however can change in the future depending on final organizational setup.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Organize, prepare and schedule meetings and manage the diary

  • Assess priority, sensitivity and purpose of meetings, travel requests and day-to-day activities

  • Record, organize and manage incoming and outgoing calls and written communication

  • Act as the point of contact and maintain internal and external contacts in particular with regulators (e.g. the Single Resolution Board)

  • Provide organizational, logistical, general and technical support in relation to business travel, meetings, conferences, seminars

  • Administration (operate a range of administrative systems, for example sickness and absence records)

  • Take care of the administrative handling of new staff/transfers/leavers, claiming expenses, Ibuy and E-profit in accordance with existing compliance rules

  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a secretarial/supporting role and you enjoy working in an international environment

  • High level written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably as well in Dutch

  • You are flexible and proactive

  • You are able to work independently and in collaboration with your teams within Integrated risk, and also within the pool of assistants

  • You set priorities and integrate tasks effectively. You think creatively about how to solve problems, address challenges and you have a high attention to detail. You are capable of dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information

  • You are familiar with the most commonly used office programs / applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Workday, IBuy, etc., and are willing to learn new ones when needed
