The Advice team within ING's Internal & External Communication department in the Netherlands needs reinforcement. We are looking for an enthusiastic communication expert to work with colleagues in the team to pick up and carry out various communication projects in the different parts of the bank.

What you will be doing

You will be part of the Advice team, which consists of about 8 colleagues working on strategy and change communications, brand activation, employee engagement and reputation management. We carry out (complex) communication projects, often with tight deadlines.

This may involve communication for internal audiences (leadership and colleagues), external audiences (other ING-stakeholders) or integrated communication for both. You will make communication and change plans and, together with colleagues from the team, ensure their implementation.

Your work environment

You will work in the Center of Expertise Communications & Brand Experience at ING in the Netherlands. In the Center of Expertise, communication experts in the field of branding, advertising, media, sponsoring, internal & external communication and media relations work on 'becoming the most desirable banking brand in the Netherlands'. The Communications expert we are looking for is part of the Advice team within the Internal & External Communications NL area, and reports to the Expert Lead Advice. The Advice team consists of 8 communication experts who are active across the bank in the areas of corporate communication, strategy and change communication, employee engagement and reputation management.

You are a versatile and pragmatic communication professional with a passion for thinking and doing and have already earned some marks in the profession. You enjoy the challenge of taking on many different projects and bringing them to a successful conclusion alone or together with your colleagues. You are not afraid of the unpredictability of the work and get energy from the variety of activities.

You have a clear vision of how to apply internal and external communications to support ING's strategy. You are seen by others as a valuable colleague and appreciated for your ability to implement. With your creativity and drive you will contribute to improving our internal and external communication. You know how to convince people - even when there is resistance - based on content and personality. You have proven experience in and affinity with advising on and implementing communication issues and can independently manage and execute projects.

You promote the ING-brand and reputation principles in the business. You are a carrier of the ING-culture (Orange Code) and recognize yourself in the corresponding behavioral profile.

As a communications expert, you also possess:

• An education in preferably Communication or Reputation Management at HBO or university level
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate communications, change communications and/or internal communications, preferably in an (international) organisation
• Experience in advising various stakeholders and implementing communication plans
• Experience and/or affinity with the agile way of working
• Excellent language skills in Dutch and English
