Job Overview
Within the Global Human Resources organization, the role of Business Manager supports the SHR Director Wholesale Banking (SHRD WB) and the Global HR WB team to deliver on the WB HR priorities. The purpose of the role is to contribute towards the WB HR priorities, strategy development and implementation, to draw up, execute, guarantee and monitor internal business processes and to act as a linking pin for other business units so as to enable effective and efficient operations. The position directly reports to the SHRD WB and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
Specifically, in the Business Manager role, you will be responsible for activities related to supporting the SHRD WB and the Global HR WB. You are the driving force and accelerator for the team, in the execution of the global HR agenda and the People agenda for the WB business.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Advising and supporting the SHRD WB in continuously developing the WB HR Strategy and preparing plans to deliver priorities and monitoring progress on WB HR strategy and day-to day activities;

Acting as a sparring partner, sounding board and trouble shooter for the HRD and the team in day-to-day activities; as a full member, you will represent the team in meetings, decisions and actions;

Preparing agendas and presentations for a wide range of meetings with HR and/or business audiences: Global HR WB MT, Global HR WB, Wholesale Banking MT, MBB and ad hoc Senior Leadership Team members;

Coordinating the topics and decks on the monthly People For a with the WBMT;

Suggesting and implementing improvements to HR projects and processes, and ways of working, being deeply involved in the content, challenging the content and pinpointing the priority areas;

Acting as a linking pin within the team and with other (HR) departments, the Business Managers in Global HR, and the WB HR teams in the countries;

Performing data analysis and presentation on topics such as attrition, gender diversity and engagement (in liaison with the HR Data Management and Data Analytics teams;

Analysing and monitoring FTEs and budget of Global WB HR;

Owning multiple projects within WB HR eg. Performance Management, Data Quality and Reporting, Leadership Programs, Continuous Listening;
Given the nature of the work and access to confidential and sensitive information, the role is deemed to be ‘sensitive’. An extra security clearance is required by the Corporate Special Investigations (CSI) team to be appointed to this role.
Requirements

You have a solid understanding of the drivers of the ING business, the internal Human Resources function and external Human Resources trends.

You have exceptional HR program ownership and execution capabilities with a high level of attention to detail.

You will hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Management. Ideally, you will have had 5-7 years’ work experience in an international setting.
