The Opportunity
Business Change Consultant WB Chief Transformation Office
Who are we looking for?
A highly organized, delivery-oriented and diplomatic business change consultant, who embraces change in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment.
Context
In line with ING’s Think Forward strategy, the WB Grow the Difference strategy is to become a client-centric business and ensure we stay at the forefront of evolving trends that shape the banking industry. The strategy focuses on our clients, putting them central in everything we do, strengthening our network, and reinforcing the core while innovating for the future. To deliver, we need to optimize for end to end seamless (digital) delivery, provide a differentiating client and employee experience efficiently and in the end become a digital, data-driven leading Wholesale Bank. In addition, we need to rethink and optimize how we execute our product governance and performance as well as the way we use our capital to generate the highest returns. To manage and accelerate this revised WB strategy a new business unit Chief Transformation Office has been created to lead the transformation. The Wholesale Banking Chief Transformation Officer will report in to the head of WB and will be part of the WB management team. The WB Chief Transformation Office will accelerate the pace to define & integrate a digital strategy with clear transformations goals. This strategy needs to be fully endorsed across the commercial & delivery domains. The transformation arising from the Grow the Difference strategy will have the following transformation goals:
Manage efficient capital deployment and accelerate capital velocity Measure product performance, and related product management and development Create horizontal alignment in product governance for consistent product management Manage cross-domain digital delivery towards our digital target as defined in digital vision and multi-year roadmap, to ultimately improve customer and employee experience Manage cross-domain regulatory delivery to improve regulatory readiness and related reporting Centralize and manage client data in order to realize a single customer view and strong data management capabilities. Manage run and change portfolio to prioritize for maximal value and increase agility of cross domain delivery
Your role and work environment

The team supports the WB CTO in steering, prioritizing, approving, optimizing and monitoring the WB Run and Change portfolio. Lastly the team will assess WB Investment decisions put forward by WB line management and prepare for decision-making by the WBMT.
In close cooperation with the WB delivery organization the Transformation Management team will develop, maintain, monitor and drive delivery of the transformation roadmap. Identify the critical path, track and help manage interdependencies and overall progress, risk and financials. To this end the team will set guidelines, also together with architecture, to ensure focus on strategic delivery of the to be implemented (digital) customer and employee journeys and required underlying building blocks throughout WB. To be successful it is imperative that this team will not be “managing the process” from the sidelines; the team will work closely with and in the delivery organization, facilitate conflict and impediment resolution and lead deep dives on content topics that might hamper delivery of the transformation roadmap. To increase WB’s effectiveness, the team will actively drive growth in (scaled) Agile maturity in E2E delivery.
