Product developer / Customer Journey Expert Digital Business Banking Channels

We are looking for a junior product developer (or Customer Journey Expert) to contribute to the development of the best digital bank for business customers

Do you know how to identify the pains and gains of our business customers regarding banking and managing their finances? And how to translate that to a digital customer experience that will help us become the best (digital) bank for business? Do read on!

Your work environment and role

You will be working in the tribe Digital Business Banking. Our ambition and responsibility is to deliver the best digital business banking channel for entrepreneurs. Your squad develops new features for our digital banking channels which will help our Business Banking customers to run and grow their business. Delivering on your squad purpose: “Create features to provide our business banking customers with insights in their (financial) business performance”. The squad consists of you, three other CJE’s and four IT engineers. As a CJE you will identify and develop the features needed to achieve that. Supported by data analysts and UX designers and collaborating with CJE’s from other squads and tribes to improve the digital customer experience of our business banking customers.

As a CJE you will be part of a Chapter; a team of CJE colleagues with whom you will share and build expertise on developing digital customer experiences. On topics like data fluency, customer experience and research, defining and refining a business solution to an IT solution et cetera.

What you will be doing

You will actively develop your knowledge about the Business Banking segment and market. To identify customer needs we should address, market developments we need to consider and translate these into improvements or new solutions. You will evaluate customer feedback, set up experiments, create and monitor web analytics dashboards to determine with your squad what the next most valuable thing is to improve or develop. Based on this you will work with colleague CJE’s, UX designers and IT engineers to design and refine the solution. You take initiative and can function independently but feel that good cooperation and teamwork are crucial to achieve the best results.

You will be working on:

  • Gathering insights on customers and market developments to determine valuable new/improved features
  • Setting up customer research/experiments to validate the problem or solution fit
  • Translating the desired solution to concrete designs together with UX
  • Defining and refining with IT architects and engineers to get a clear picture of the required technical design
  • Cooperating with other business & IT squads to contribute to the changes we need achieve our goals
  • Defining an analytics (tagging) plan and setting up dashboards based on that
  • Working together with engineers to make sure everything is ready for development
  • Testing the new release to check if it works like it should before going live to our customers
  • Analyzing usage of and feedback on our features to determine valuable iterations/improvements

Who are you

You have a strong analytical mind and the capability to act upon it to make things happen. The customer experience is your primary driver and you make decisions based on data. You have a strong drive to learn and are relentlessly curious. You can translate the bigger picture to the details needed. Which also helps in testing the developed solution to make sure it meets all criteria before releasing it to our customers. You can build strong relationships with your colleagues and can work as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team. You don’t take no for an answer and are always looking for ways to realize our goals.

Our ideal candidate is energetic, a team player that is driven to reach joint goals and has a strong drive to get things done.

You have:

  • 0-3 years of relevant education and/or experience in developing digital solutions
  • A drive to continuously seek ways to improve the digital customer experience. Learning from customer feedback to create and implement optimizations
  • A curious mindset for the underlying application architecture, relevant IT landscape and technologies across different business units
  • Realization skills, ability to take on a challenge and make it happen
  • Strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and fact
  • Strong affinity with the Business Banking segment
  • You provide and ask for constructive feedback
  • A professional working proficiency skill level in English and Dutch
