The opportunity

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

The team

FM Sales provides both flow and highly bespoke financial solutions to clients. The FM Sales organization is structured to reflect the differing needs of our client portfolio. The Corporate team services the corporate Wholesale Banking clients in 6 sectors and the Retail and Mid-Corporate clients from the Domestic Banks across Europe. The Financial Institutions team is split into Institutional Sales and Loan Sales teams servicing the FIs Sector Wholesale Banking clients with traditional capital markets activity and Loan Asset Distribution.

Strategic Control and Governance supports the Financial Markets Management Team in the development and implementation of FM's business strategy, including FM's interaction and management of our various support groups.

Roles and responsibilities

Within the Strategic Control and Governance team you will be part of the Front Office Support team and you will be responsible for applying all requirements of the ING KYC Policy to the existing (and future) FM-owned client base. This includes Know Your Customer (KYC) and the related activities (FEC/FATCA/CRS/ESR).

You will work closely with both the Head of Sales Strategy & Governance and also the regional Heads of FM Sales in designing and implementing a programme of work that ensures that existing client files are remediated, scheduled KYC reviews are initiated in a timely manner to enable on time completion, and new clients are onboarded in a safe and compliant manner.

As designated Parent Account Manager (“PAM”) for these investors, your key internal contacts will include the Financial Markets Client Control (“FMCC”) team, Regional Client Control Teams in Asia and the Americas and PAMs in other WB Sector teams. Externally, you will reach out to, and interact with, the key KYC contacts across the client base owned by FM.

Where capacity exists, you will also support FM teams with investor-related KYC topics, including providing support in fulfilling Office Due Diligence (“ODD”) obligations and facilitation of general end to end management of the onboarding process.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role

  • Efficient handling and completion of KYC files (remediation, review and onboarding) in compliance with ING KYC Policy requirements
  • Performing client outreach: communicating, liaising and follow-up with clients to obtain relevant information and documentation to complete KYC files
  • Updating front office colleagues on status of completion of files within due dates and prioritizing urgent files
  • Managing the client offboarding/exit process under the guidance of front office colleagues
  • Ensuring data quality of source systems is maintained and anomalies are escalated
  • Maintaining close cooperation with KYC analysts in other locations to ensure timely completion of KYC files
  • Clear articulation of the requirements for KYC to the business or colleagues across the organisation
  • Ability to manage a workload of files under process concurrently in an efficient manner
  • Taken tasks that supports the FM Sales organisation in delivering first class services to its clients.

Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or relevant field. Alternatively, can show strong analytical skills from another discipline

Desirable:

  • AML/KYC related certification

Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

  • Client Service and/or Operations experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
  • Experience with Vantage
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, procedures and controls

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an AML/KYC role
