FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Your role

The FM Corporate Sales Originator is the first point of contact for our clients. With a multi products focus you are responsible for building strong client relationships and structuring new transactions.

As FM Sector Originator you will have a deep knowledge and understanding of our WB value proposition. You will be in the frontline of our business, not only as first point of contact for our clients, but also as important sparring partner for our internal stakeholders within Sectors, Risk, Lending, Transaction Services and Strategic Products.

To match our activities with the WB Sector approach and to increase the focus on cross-buy we re-designed our sales operating model. The day-to-day straight forward execution (FX, MM, Commodities) is done by the central Multi-Asset / Multi-Client execution desk. As FM Originator / FM NL Corp Sales you will lead and manage the full process of more complex, non-flow and loan linked / strategic transactions.

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the clients in your portfolio, including listed blue chip companies.
  • You will have a multi asset product scope (Rates, FX, Commodities & Equity Derivatives) with strong focus on non-flow, added value & more complex products & services
  • Strategic (Financial Risk) related partner for our NL and international client base
  • Liaise with clients on industry developments like sustainability, regulation and innovation
  • Managing and leading the full process, including pre-lead, pitching, onboarding and execution effectively and efficiently in combination with your colleagues in the deal team across various departments and countries
  • Maintaining a day to day relationship with WB sector teams / and having joint client meetings with WB, trading and research
  • You will be responsible for improving and maxizing the cross-buy of FM solutions, as such you are able to establish cooperation / bridges with other ING internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining relationships with other FM stakeholders like Legal, Compliance, Risk
  • You will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines and ING Orange Code
  • Geographical scope: NL / EMEA / Global

As a FM Corporate Sales Originator you will also need:

  • Experienced Financial Markets professional, academic working/thinking level (degree in economics, and/or CFA or equivalent bachelor/master degree)
  • Minimal 7 years of working experience
  • Language skills Dutch & English, both written and verbal
  • Strong commercial skills (this applies to both internal and external contacts)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to translate client challenges into product driven solutions
  • Experience in corporate sales & a proven track record of generating FM revenues with corporate clients
  • Solid knowledge of Financial Markets and related instruments / products is considered as essential (multi asses origination)
