IT Chapter Lead - Enterprise Content Services

Regular, Full-time, Noord-Holland (Amsterdam)

We are looking for an experienced IT Chapter Lead who will contribute in the development of enterprise content services at ING.

Enterprise Content Services is the global IT Area in Tech Group Services where enterprise-wide content services are offered to all entities in ING. These services include but are not limited to archiving, search, retention, e-signatures, content generation, content sharing and intelligent content services. They supplement each other and do provide a way to make content available making sure that every record is kept in a compliant manner. ECS also provides the Robotics Process Automation service to automate repetitive tasks.

In the team we offer you the opportunity to try new things or work on innovations, bring your ideas to life. All team members have an equal say in the stories on the backlog and what will be picked up from it. The teams develop new applications and features, but also continuously improve and maintain code, monitoring, alerting and processes.

The squads mainly use the following technologies and frameworks: Java, Spring, Kafka, docker, Kubernetes, helm, shell scripts, lit-html, Web Components, JavaScript, Azure Devops, S3 based OBS

Your job

As a chapter lead, you are responsible for managing and inspiring a chapter of DevOps engineers. Your main task is to enable your engineers to grow their mastery and get a little bit better in what they do every day. In the other 50% of your time, as an engineer you deliver as a squad member.

Next to that, you are part of the leadership team of the IT area. Together with the other chapter leads and the IT area lead you develop vision and execute the strategy to inspire our engineers to grow and drive technological innovation.

Managing your chapter means actively working on the development of your engineers through continuous on-the-job coaching and 1:1 conversations. Creating a development plan and monitoring it together. Finding the true purpose of your engineers and enabling them to grow in what they love to do and are good at to find that win-win situation for the engineer and ING.

Your work environment

  • You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in leading and coaching fellow engineers in a hierarchical or project role. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer in similar environments.

  • 5+ year’s experience in Agile development (SCRUM, Kanban)
