Legal Counsel Financial Markets

Position

We are looking for a dedicated legal counsel willing to join our Legal Financial Markets team based in Amsterdam. You will become part of an experienced and supportive team of 10 professionals that operates in a dynamic environment. You will work in close proximity with ING’s financial markets business globally.

Your work will consist among others of drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of (bespoke) master agreements, such as the ISDA Master Agreement. Furthermore, you will provide legal support on financial markets’ products and services and guide the financial markets business through regulatory changes.

Your profile

  • You are an energetic team player with a positive and can do mentality who is not afraid to take responsibility. You are able to understand business needs and set priorities

  • You have affinity with financial services and securities laws and preferably understanding of derivatives’ products and documentation

  • You have well developed negotiation and problem solving skills and ability to analyse complex rules and regulations

  • You have at least 3 years working experience with a law firm, regulatory authority or financial institution

  • You have an LL.M degree in law (or equivalent)

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
