Domain Architect Value Cluster Channel Services/Digital Channels Personal Banking

At a glance

In this role you are responsible for the IT architecture of the Digital Channels Personal Banking Grid (DCPB). The DCPB Grid digitally enables convenience, specialized knowledge and new offerings. By providing customer journeys that exceed the customer experience of new and existing NL consumer clients in all segments. The DCPB Grid offers relevant propositions and services in the online Consumer channels (e.g. ABNAMRO App, Internet Banking, Grip) to new & existing customers and creates and
enhances (specific segment) channel experiences. By integrating the generic capabilities within the channels and ensure end to end customer experience. With the aim to contribute to the digital strategy of the bank and to build a personal bank in the digital age.

You will be part of the Value Cluster Channel Services IT Shared Services unit together with other Domain Architects and Project & Process Enablers.

As an Domain Architect you are a real connector and you put out clear solution content for your colleagues. It is important in this position to monitor the scope in which work is carried out, the technical implementation and quality of these components. You are in conversation with many fields and different functions because you are the pivot for our grid between business and IT. For example, you are a sparring partner for the IT Lead, Grid Owner and Lead Product Owner. The complexity of the position lies in supervising and supporting the DevOps teams, which require in-depth substantive knowledge of the Grid(s). Our new Architect oversees and supervises the quality of the architecture and is able to transfer this information to colleagues. Together you arrive at the right priorities to meet the business demand. An Domain Architect delivers a Solution Intent through technical expertise, long-term vision, product knowledge and soft skills, which ensures simplifications and improvements so that future changes become easier. All work of the Domain Architect is therefore focused on long-term thinking and creating a roadmap for the Grid and works towards the Future State Architecture.

Working environment

In this role you are responsible for the Digital Channels Personal Banking Architecture development and control. This means:

-You create solution intents in close cooperation with your business counterpart;
-You know how to draw and plot boundaries across different dimensions using architecture frameworks and models. You know how to use methods, frameworks and techniques to drive strategy into execution.
-You work closely with your peers in the team to identify synergy cross grid/Value Cluster.
-You support the IT DevOps teams to cut big changes in small user stories and shippable products.
-You carefully follow the latest business and technology trends and developments, and determine the impact it could have on the organization. If required you guide the implementation of future-proof business solutions by using your thought leadership skills. Provide, if required, hands-on architecture leadership on complex, innovative proposals and projects.

Your profile

In terms of skills, we are looking for an Domain Architect who has strong knowledge of both IT and business. De Domain Architect knows how to move in the cloud Azure/AWS and knows what challenges lie ahead for developers. Our new Domain Architect has in-depth knowledge of the relevant applications, how they contribute to fulfilling the business requirements and of the ABN-AMRO Architecture. The person has knowledge at university level with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience, including 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of system Architecting.

-Domain Architects are the connectors within IT and business within the bank. You will connect between teams, IT integrators but also with each other.
-Domain Architects work towards a clear strategy for our future state architecture within the GRID. A clear vision is required with a clear argumentation and therewith choices. Also there will be thought of a plan of approach how do realise this vision.
-Domain Architects are up to date of latest IT knowledge within the area of architecture.
-Domain Architects are there to facilitate delivery teams. They will support where needed and facilitate on the area of architecture.
-Domain Architects are creative, think of solutions and outside the box. They will put in effort to make things more smooth and more clear than before.
