We are looking for a Lead for the Media, Effectiveness & Insights team, part of Brand & MarCom. As Lead you will be responsible for enabling the global and effective media setup, establishing analytics, insights and reporting capabilities for brand, marketing and communications that will help the organisation translate them into strategic actions. The Lead will combine an engaging and motivating personality with analytical skills and comprehensive marketing, communications and business understanding.

The team

The Media, Effectiveness and Insights team is responsible for measuring and maximising effectiveness through insights-driven creativity and globally optimised use of media.

You will partner closely with brand and communications experts as well as business leaders and local markets to identify deep media and message insights and help them convert those into successful communications strategies. You will be teaming up with analytics teams and media and research agencies.

Roles and responsibilities

Roles and responsibilities of the Media, Effectiveness and Insight Lead include:

  • defining and implementing global initiatives on media management, (Ad)Tech, market research and measurement strategies that align with business objectives and performance;

  • Running ING and benchmark reputation and brand measurement, impact on earned, owned and paid channels including internal channels and social media listening and sentiment analysis;

  • Defining and implementing measurement aligned with brand and communications objectives;

  • Producing meaningful communications, marketing and media KPI dashboards and delivering performance reports with actionable insight;

  • Further analysis and modelling for communications and marketing effectiveness and budget health metrics, as well as building framework and enablers for campaign effectiveness;

  • Building the necessary Ad/Martech tools providing marketing capabilities with a consistent and efficient global approach;

  • Managing the global media operating model and global agencies to drive a strong, innovative, data driven global media agenda;

  • Working on global partnerships with key media partners (like Meta, Google, LinkedIn) to drive efficiency and value for the markets;

  • Collaborating with local teams on effectiveness projects to maximise media and marketing impact for brand and business;

  • Building a global insights and testing capabilities community while working with Brand Strategy teams, Brand Experience teams and local markets;

  • Coordinating global researches and provide accurate and timely analysis and reporting, not only with findings but also by providing strategic growth drivers and insights to key local and global stakeholders;

  • Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders (across the markets).

We’re looking for a data and analytics passionate leader who can set up and drive the Media, Effectiveness and Insights team forward. Key capabilities are:

  • Level of experience: 15 years;

  • Strong experience and passion for both traditional and digital media;

  • Great understanding of marketing analytics, research techniques, modelling and measurement along with brand, comms and business understanding

  • Experience of media, research and insights agency management and coordination

  • Proven ability to translate data into clear and compelling narratives to influence and drive strategic decision-making;

  • Ability to connect with the organisation and build credible relationships with key stakeholders and senior management;

  • Being connected to the outside world, innovations and new technologies in marketing and communications ecosystem;

  • Desire to be creative and think outside of the box;

  • Adaptability to new technologies;

  • Experience with leading a team of professionals.
