Working Capital Specialist

The opportunity

Working Capital Solutions is looking to hire an Analyst for its product line Supply Chain Finance (SCF) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In this job you will play an active role in structuring and execution of complex SCF transactions for corporates.

Key drivers for our clients to implement working capital solutions are cash flow optimization, diversification of funding, financial ratio improvement & return on capital employed, realization of pricing benefits and improvement of risk management.

SCF aims to improve the financial efficiency of the supply chain and substantially reduce working capital of both buyers and suppliers. SCF provides non-recourse financing to the key suppliers of large corporate buyers. It creates a true win-win for all the parties involved as one of the most attractive tools for companies to diversify funding sources, enrich and solidify the relationships with their trade partners.

Role and responsibilities

You will work in a professional and dynamic environment. Given strong ambitions to grow trade within ING, the team has a high profile in the ING Wholesale Banking organisation and is strongly supported by senior management. You will enter an environment which entails a lot of entrepreneurial dynamics and provides an excellent platform for further growth, cross selling and innovation.

• Doing industry, (implied) rating profile and peer group analysis
• Preparing presentations and pitch books regarding SCF solutions
• Assisting in credit analyses and writing of credit applications
• Analysing spend files provided by clients to assess a proper business case
• Contributing and supporting the execution / implementation of transaction processes
• Periodic monitoring of existing deals (portfolio management)
• Maintaining active contacts with others departments/disciplines, such as TS Products & Channels (product management), TS Client Services (Implementation), Corporate Clients (PAM / LAM) and Risk Management.

How to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position at Lending, Corporate Finance or Risk related activities, has demonstrated analytical skills and stamina, is dedicated and ambitious and follows through with a passion for Trade, origination and our clients.We believe in efficient and effective deal teams with flat hierarchies and a strong focus on quality, service and end results. You show initiative, take responsibility and have an entrepreneurial mind-set focused on the result the team can achieve.
Furthermore, you have:

• Master level, preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance
• Fluent in English (verbal and writing). Given ING’s international trade focus, other languages are welcome
• Preference is to have someone with a trade background / knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills, result and deal driven
• True team player and hands-on mentality
• Financial and modelling skills
• Accuracy and high quality orientation
• Understanding of credit risk and structuring
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Commercial and service skills (attitude, verbally and writing)
• Strong in Excel and Powerpoint
