Do you want to build the risk organisation of the future with us? Do you want to use your analyses to anticipate the possible risks of tomorrow (emerging risks)? Do you know how to make connection between data that can lead to the identification and better assessment of risks? Do you want to be actively involved in the rise of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) as the fastest growing and most important risk type of the future? Do you have a critical and constructive attitude and are you naturally proactive and an initiator? Then you are the Data Analyst NFR that we are looking for!

As a Data Analyst NFR, you will be responsible for promoting, monitoring and controlling the data-accuracy, -quality & integrity in our GRC-tooling, iRisk and translating this data into dashboards and reports to help guide decision making. You are familiar with how ING manages its non-financial risks (NFR Framework) and with the principles of risk management (according to COSO and ISO 31000). You are able to assess and improve the quality of the risks and underlying data in order to perform analyses. By analysing the relationships between all NFR-related data, you actively provide insight into the risk profile of ING DB NL and the extent to which we manage and monitor the risks in accordance with the established Risk Appetite.

Your work environment

You will be working in the CRO Tribe NFR (Non-Financial Risk) within ING Domestic Bank Netherlands. As a Tribe, we are the second line risk organisation responsible for advising and challenging senior management on their non-financial risk landscape through risk identification, risk management, monitoring and reporting.

What you will be doing

  • Continuously analyse, interpret and improve (NFR) data quality in iRisk (GRC tooling) and other relevant tools for qualitative reporting.
  • Improve the quality of internal and external reporting by using the right data and trends and telling the story behind this data to help guide decision-making.
  • Identify potential risks and analyse key themes by making connections between data from a wide range of sources.
  • Collaborate with business and risk management parties to better understand their questions, processes, and/or initiatives in order to assess which data solutions can help.
  • Translate the results of data analysis into reports, presentations and dashboards in which the data is linked to the business objectives in a powerful and meaningful way using visualisation techniques.
  • Build an internal network for knowledge sharing and proactively seeking out other experts in order to continuously learn from others.

Which knowledge and experience do you bring?

  • You have an academic background (a master’s degree is a plus) and have 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You have knowledge of Non-Financial Risk and risk management in the broad sense and have experience with a GRC tool.
  • You have experience with data management and data analysis techniques.
  • You are an energetic team player who is prepared to take initiative and responsibility.
  • You are analytical: you can make connections, recognise risks, assess impact and think ahead.
  • You are able to communicate your analyses sharply, concretely and enthusiastically to colleagues and various target groups.
  • You have a flexible attitude and are stress resistant.
  • You are driven by nature and have an eye for detail and quality.
  • You have a good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.

What do we offer you?

  • A unique opportunity to be closely involved - and in lead - in the further development of data-driven risk management!
  • A good balance between your career and your private life
  • A salary tailored to your qualities and experience
  • 24-27 holiday days depending on contract
  • Pension scheme
  • 13th month's salary
  • Individual Savings Contribution (BIS), 3.5% of your gross annual salary
  • 8% holiday money
  • Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities
  • An informal work environment with innovative and diverse colleagues
