We are looking for a Head of International and SEPA Payments for Global Retail Payments.

Your role:

As Head of International and SEPA Payments (Customer Journey Expert - Product Management VI) you have end-to-end responsibility for the development, management, harmonization and phasing out of commercial payment & settlement products and services across the ING Retail franchise with a view to achieving an optimal customer value proposition.

The team

Global Retail Payments manages the retail cards & payments portfolio, in close alignment with the ING Retail franchise across the globe. We develop, manage and create centralized payment solutions used by multiple countries and segments. We work closely with other global service providers, like Payments and Settlement Services, in order to drive standardization across the countries, create efficiencies and a consistent and unique user experience.

Responsible for the bank payments portfolio, including a range of Payments products like Credit Transfers (Domestic and SEPA), International Payments , Direct Debits (Domestic and SEPA) and Instant Payments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for understanding customer needs and competitive offerings in order to propose a tailored customer value proposition for ING countries and sub-segments (Private Individuals and Business Banking);
  • Requirements management, in close alignment with the retail countries.
  • You are responsible for prioritization and orchestration of the retail demand towards the global internal and external service providers.
  • You act as a linking pin between the global (change) programmes and the retail countries, ensuring continuous alignment and drive execution certainty.
  • You explore and develop a detailed understanding of industry and regulatory developments in your domain, evaluates their potential impact on, or usefulness to the Retail organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in your domain, and pro-actively share this knowledge with your team, the retail countries and other stakeholders.
  • You create business cases for Global Retail Payments in your domain, and drives the subsequent programme across the countries.
  • You work with Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders, to make sure our products and services comply with regulation and policies.

Who are you?

Experience/knowledge

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Payments Domain and deep knowledge of payments products
  • Experience in working in a complex international environment, managing stakeholders across domains.
  • Experience in development of (retail) payment products and services end to end.
  • Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Good understanding of end to end payments processing, digitization and open banking, bridging IT and business

Skills

  • Strong managerial skills and stakeholders management
  • Strong Communication Skills and excellent team player
  • Excellent in English, Dutch is an advantage
