The opportunity
We are looking for an HR Strategy and Academy Lead, to join our Global HR Strategy and Transformation Team.

As the HR Strategy and Academy Lead you are in the lead of one of ING’s global learning academies, the one specifically targeting our HR community.You will identify key learning and development needs for our HR professionals, based on their roles, on the strategic and change initiatives going on, on the local and global requests collected via our Community of Expertise (CoE), via our global and local HR leaders and professionals. You will guide the HR Academy offering constant development and improvement, by building and delivering proof and consolidated learning experiences and developmental journeys.

In addition to the key role of leading the HR Academy you will be responsible for leading, in close cooperation with Global Head of HR strategy and analytics, strategic projects for the HR function. Examples of them could be Organizational Design diagnostic, Review of HR strategy, etc.

The HR Academy specifically focusses on equipping our HR professionals (more than 1.200 employees across more than 30 countries) with the skills, the knowledge and the mindset they need to deliver on our people vision, on ING business expectations and on our employee value proposition.

The team sits within the Global HR organization and HR Strategy, a dynamic, challenging and constantly evolving environment.

Our objective : We leverage on best talent and learning practices to develop products and solutions that can help our HR professionals to constantly develop themselves. By building a strong HR expertise which gives them an ongoing sense of our HR function’s purpose and objectives in connection to our business strategic objectives.

  • Ensure we build our solution by leveraging on the best learning practices, by having a strong and proactive collaboration with our CoE’s and by collaborating with the best learning providers (internal or externals)

Roles and responsibilities

  • Lead CHRO strategic projects in collaboration with Global Head of HR strategy and Analytics and the key global HR players

  • Manage (end-to-end) HR Academy products development (from concept to development, delivery and impact measurements)

  • Identify value of learning use cases (e.g. request for a development of a new dedicated learning program), prioritize and align with the overall HR Academy learning roll-out plan

  • Organize HR leadership events with an end-to-end accountability (content, speakers, logistics, etc.)

  • Optimize the learning experience offered on our learning platform by constantly updating, improving and enhancing the HR Academy learning offerings

  • Partnering with the other Academy Heads to ensure consistency and alignment and leveraging on global learning products and solutions relevant for our HR professionals

  • Build a proper communication plan and strategy to market and position in an effective way HR Academy products and offerings (the ones new to be launched or the ones already existing)

  • Sparring partner with our CoEs and HR leaders (local and global representatives) to identify key development and upskilling needs and co-create solutions when needed

  • Contracts and finance management of the HR Academy effort with the support of a Project manager

This role calls for strong business acumen, stakeholder management, some technical knowledge on learning platforms and products, strong project management, delivery and customer focus and a strategic mindset in order to identify and prioritize needed learning investments.

  • You have a Masters or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational or Social Behavioural Science, in Mathematics or Management Engineering

  • You have managed complex projects aimed to run or evolve a global HR function (HR practices, processes, frameworks, etc.)

  • You demonstrate the ability to execute a complex, international agenda or initiative

  • You are able to think conceptually, make impact and drive strategic decision making

  • You easily partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to drive results

  • You have excellent English communication skills and are able to craft findings and recommendations into the business language of your stakeholders

  • You thrive in a demanding international work environment.

  • You have strong project management skills

  • You have strong PPT and Excel skills

  • You are a team player and you have managerial expertise

  • You have consulting skills preferably developed in a global and big consulting company
