The Client Unit Corporate Banking is responsible for two client segments: Corporate & Institutional Clients and Commercial Clients and four product units: Markets, Clearing, Financing Solutions, Asset Based Finance, Credit Portfolio Management. Furthermore, also three enabling functions: Processes & Control, Business Implementation and Office. Corporate Banking serves corporate clients with a turnover from €25 million in turnover and up.

Business Implementation supports disciplined and risk aware implementation of the changes within the Client Unit. Business Implementation integrates specific competencies required to implement and anchor changes in the Unit. The teams implement and anchor strategic and regulatory driven changes in the Client Unit

The teams within Business Implementation consists of four capabilities: (i) Project management, (ii) Implementation management, (iii) Lean consultancy and (iv) Portfolio / Resource management and are organised to allow for both specialism and flexible allocation to the prioritised change project and programs.

Your job

Regulatory and strategic driven change and specifically regulatory themes with high impact need to be managed structurally and effectively to meet compliance deadlines in an efficient way. In other words, being ‘in control’ of bank-wide regulatory themes now and anticipate in foreseeing future ones. To do so you will manage and execute the delivery of one or more change initiatives (e.g. New Service Model, Digitization, IBOR and Basel IV ). Steering the necessary projects, involve relevant stakeholders, facilitate approval process, coordinating and tracking its deliverables and managing risks.

Working environment

As a Business Change Manager you will functionally be part of the Implementation or Change Management Team and report directly to the Pool Head ( Change & Lean management / Implementation management) who is part of the MT Business Implementation. You will be working closely together with both the P&C departments globally (e.g. Management Control & Regulations and the regional P&C departments), the various CB client segments (e.g. Commercial Clients and Corporate & Institutional Clients), products (e.g. Financing Solutions and ABF) and other (external) stakeholders (e.g. IT, Risk and Finance) to manage the change process.

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in: Project/Implementation Management and Strategy/Regulatory Execution
  • Oversee complex Bank-wide specific change initiatives and have change portfolio management skills
  • Excellent communicator with a well-developed network within ABN AMRO who can act as a natural (informal) leader
  • Outgoing, extravert personality who can act on several levels and being an experienced sparring partner for senior management
  • Strong analytical and consultancy skills
  • Easily translate a holistic view in concrete actions
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
