Your key responsibilities

  • You advise and assist customers in designing, building, testing and operating applications that use ING APIs and products available at developer.ing.com , with a focus on technical implementation.
  • You organise deep-dive sessions with customers, both virtual and face-to-face, to ensure that API integration and go live are a smooth and seamless experience.
  • You advise and assist ING teams in designing their API, endpoints, requests and responses based on the OpenAPI Specification and ensure design and implementation guidelines are met.
  • You work hands-on with ING APIs to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments.
  • You create technical documentation on a variety of API related topics, ranging from generic Get Started guides to more detailed articles about API and security concepts.
  • You provide high quality guidance for our customers and share best practices with the larger community worldwide.
  • You educate and mentor our developer support organization to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You address major issues with internal ING teams for a resolution that is in best interest of our customers.
  • You act as voice-of-the-customer to feed back customer pains and gains to the ING platform and API teams.

Your qualifications

  • You have multiple years experience in a customer facing role with a technical engineer background
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • You are a master in understanding and dealing with customer requirements and excel in problem-solving customers’ technical issues
  • You are experienced in doing code reviews and debugging client code
  • You are proficient in making complex information accessible through writing
  • You have experience with software lifecycle, build tools and architecting/developing software in various environments.
  • You have a good understanding of API technology
  • You have experience with multiple programming languages (for example Java, Python and/or NodeJS) to give support on customer specific problems. Knowledge of API runtime environments (for example Linux server) is a plus.
  • You keep up-to-date on the latest technical developments relating to industry standards and best practices.
  • You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Open Banking evolves around Application Programming Interfaces (APIs): a way to easily open-up capabilities and share data.
