Business Control Specialist (Safe Business)
Are you the professional for the Safe Business Officers team, that contributes with a lot of energy and impact to sound risk management for Business Banking Sales?
Being and remaining a 'Safe & Compliant' bank is the highest priority within ING. Customers entrust us with their money and personal information. Complying in every conceivable way with what legislation and regulations and society require of us is the preconditional starting point. The Safe Business Officers team is also a partner for the advisory teams and squads in being 'in control' by supporting Non Financial Risk and related questions and challenge the control measures.
The opportunity
With the team you promote awareness of the concept of “Safe Business” to ensure that business risks are under control. This means that you proactively manage the entire risk process, from identification to risk management and mitigation. You ensure that the number of non-financial risks remains within the “risk appetite” of the organization and that risks are identified in a transparent manner.
The following activities are part of your core tasks:
- Performing 1st-line risk management, including SOX testing, Privacy, Product Approval, Key Control Testing, Incident management, Facilitating and Challenging ICSs (In Control Statements).
- Advising internal stakeholders and being the contact person for the 2nd line of defense (Compliance, ORM)
- Drawing up guidelines for the advisory teams in order to effectively and efficiently guarantee the quality of the advice.
Role and responsibilities
Within the new (ML) Business Banking Sales NL organisation, which was implemented as of March 1, 2022, we are responsible for Self-Employed, Micro, SME and MidCorp customers, including REF. With this we integrate and create a future-proof and integral implementation of our service models; Easy Banking, Guided Banking, Relationship Banking.
- Easy Banking: a fully digital model that offers our customers simple, no-frills solutions that allow them to work independently and use self-service;
- Guided Banking: transaction-driven advice in combination with the digital service model. Customers get access to advice and guidance when they need it;
- Relationship Banking: Advanced relationship management with the ability to tailor solutions to customer needs.
In this way we ensure that customers are served according to their needs and charged taking into account the complexity of the company structure. Delivering an excellent (digital) customer experience is therefore essential for all customers.
For Guided and Relationship banking, our sales teams are regionally divided into four regions responsible for SME and MidCorp customers, including REF. They work as one team for a natural exchange of opportunities, knowledge and market approach.
