ING is looking for the Head of Technology for CoorpID

We solve KYC pains for banks and corporates around document management and sharing. As one of ING’s successful start-ups, started within ING Innovation Labs, CoorpID is now scaling throughout Europe.
As the Head of Technology you are part of the CoorpID Strategic Team and responsible for the IT Infrastructure & Security Engineering. Your team works on the Architecture, Operations and Security Engineering of the CoorpID platform. The team collaborates with the Product Development and Customer Success teams on the front-end platform Outsystems and on tooling for CoorpID .
Role and responsibilities
- Leads the IT Infrastructure & Security team and attracts and develops talent
- Responsible for CoorpID Software Development and delivery portfolio
- Creates a high performing & scalable team: runs the team on a daily basis, sets priorities for the team, delegates tasks & responsibilities
- Is accountable for the CoorpID tool Stability, Continuity and related Risks
- Responsible of IT Security within CoorpID
- Responsible of IT Risk score of CoorpID to be within appetite of ING
- Designs the IT framework/ and IRM policies compatible with ING IT global framework
- Responsible for the Architecture decision of CoorpID, working in collaboration with ING Neo IT Central team / IT Lead of ING Neo
- Ensures Security and Risk are incorporated into the architecture and processes, including access management and monitoring
- Defines, prioritizes and owns the Infrastructure & Security roadmap. The current suit comprises of MS
- Works closely with the PD lead & PD team to achieve the product & IT related objectives
- Formulates the CoorpID vision and strategy together with the Strategic Team. This includes having a clear view on the newest technologies and development platforms
- Responsible for IT Budget and spending to ensure that adequate budget from software development to infrastructure
Main objectives
- Have all risks relating IT Infrastructure and Security identified and have mitigations on the roadmap
- Further maturing the capability, including team development, automated testing and documenting
- Enable the CoorpID tooling and the CoorpID sales process, including auditable Security, GDPR and Risk documentation
Whom we are looking for
- You demonstrate experience and capability to lead a medium to large size Software Development team
- You have Software engineering/coding experience
- You demonstrate software engineering management capability/experience
- You have previous experience within a bank, giving you solid understanding of the IT and Risk functions and/or have experience in setting up IT infra and/or running IT services in a Unicorn
- You have prior experience and expertise in rapid development of applications
- You are highly proficient at identifying market trends and innovations that may impact the way of working of IT professionals, and able to adopt and implement these trends, for example on LeanIT, continuous delivery, cloud processes
- You are focused on collaboration: you set aside your own 'ego' in the interests of achieving the best results – you help others in the team to have success
- You have ample energy and are able to challenge and motivate your colleagues to stay “on the ball”
Reporting lines and Job Scale
- This role reports to the Initiative Lead of CoorpID. CoorpID is part of ING Neo and reports to the Value Space Lead of Safe & Compliant Banking
- Job evaluations, promotions, hiring and firing is applied according to the governance manual of ING
- This management position is classified as job level 13
