You will work directly with the CIO WB Tech (located in Amsterdam), acting as a key sparring partner and sounding board to the CIO and WB Tech management team. You will proactively support and advise on day-to-day and strategic activities to enable focus, prioritization, effective decision making and to drive results. You will interact with the overall WB Tech management team and their managers and key stakeholders, such as Wholesale Banking, Finance, HR, Risk, and Communications colleagues, in order to advance strategy and ensure targets are achieved. This position is an accelerator or stepping-stone to fast track your knowledge of operating at a senior level in a global IT organisation. You will get exposure to all the business of a senior level executive early in your career, enabling you to rapidly grow your own knowledge and experience. Your role and responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the CIO WB Tech and the management team, facilitate discussion and effective decision making.
• Manage the WB Tech business support office.
• Be actively involved in the creation and implementation of strategic priorities and initiatives sponsored by the CTO, Head of WB or CIO WB Tech.
• Act as a sparring partner, sounding board and trouble shooter for the CIO WB Tech and the management team in day-to-day activities; as a full member of the MT, you can represent the team in certain meetings, decisions and actions.
• Prepare meetings, both in terms of content and organisation, and ensure all actions are followed up on.
• Be the linking pin with other supporting ING business units and initiate actions.

• You are highly effective in working with the other colleagues at senior stakeholder level in and outside WB Tech (e.g. the colleagues working in other parts of Tech, the WB Business, HR and Finance).

• You are the go-to person for data, reports, information and presentations and you drive the uptake of this activity for the team, this includes but not limited to QBR, QPR production and preparation.
• There’s a series of activities that you master for the team: keeping track of business structure changes, financials, communications, risk & compliance, and many more.
• You anticipate what is coming next and make work lighter for all – including yourself.

Given the nature of the work and access to confidential and sensitive information, the role is deemed to be ‘sensitive’. An extra security clearance is required by the Corporate Special Investigations (CSI) team to be appointed to this role.

• Degree level qualified, or equivalent experience in Tech and or Wholesale Banking is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, strong in PPT and Excel.
