At a glance

In your DevOps team you work on APIs in a private or public cloud. At the same time you keep on improving yourself, the colleagues around you and the systems that you work with.

Your job

There are 2 main technology shifts active within ABN that you will be part of: APIs and the cloud. You will participate in both exposing and consuming data through APIs and migrate these systems to the cloud. Most of the APIs are written in Java and we use Azure as the main cloud platform. Besides working on systems, you develop yourself by taking internal and external courses, e.g. Azure or Java. You can be part of communities, where specific technologies are discussed, and where you can learn from colleagues and share your knowledge as well. Together we will grow into an engineering culture.

Working environment

As an experienced Java Developer you work in the part where the most common bank services are developed, like bank accounts, payments and insurances. We call it the grid Daily Banking. At ABN AMRO, we strive to be a personal bank in a digital age. That strategy is also brought to life in how we work ourselves. Hence we offer hybrid working as the new normal, which gives you the flexibility to decide when and where to work most comfortably and effectively. Your profile

You feel at home in a technical environment and are always up to date on the latest technologies. Do you think you're a fit? Check your profile:

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs in Java
• Expertise in or willing to learn (Azure) cloud solutions
• A pragmatic programmer
• Highly proficient in different development methodologies, end-to-end testing, Identity and Access Management, IT Risk control, infra provisioning, Change Management, CI/CD
• Great analytical skills and architectural understanding

You are certified or willing to be certified for:

• OCP Java 11
• AZ-900; Azure Fundamentals
• AZ-204; Developing solutions for Azure
