Job Posting Title: Front End focused Full stack engineer at Assisted Channels

Job Profile Summary: ING is looking for a full-stack software engineer with hands-on frontend software development experience, t h o u rough understanding of backend software development, fundamental knowledge on software architecture and genuine curiosity.

As a full stack software engineer, you'll work in an international environment in small, multi-skilled autonomous teams with end-to-end responsibility. Together with business colleagues, UX designers, visual designers, product owners you build our next generation banking apps in the Assisted Channels tribe.

You are

A highly motivated engineer who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues. Next to your work in the squad, you also like to develop yourself in the engineering field, these learnings contribute to the mastery of other engineers in your team and improve the way of work within ING.

You are a full-stack engineer experienced in front-end development and have t h o u rough understanding of backend development in one or more JVM languages and Cloud platforms.

You have great analytical skills and conceptual understanding. You are able to quickly understand new technical concepts and technology and you have a strong interest in, and vision of, the latest trends in software development and technology. You have experience with giving presentations and workshops, and in general, have strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-engineers. Your English in speaking and writing is fluent and you are a team player who likes to join the social events of the squad and ING organization.

What we're looking for in a full stack engineer:

  • 6 + years of software engineering experience with front-end development and thorough understanding of back-end development

  • Extensive experience in developing Front end applications with JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience in Front-end design patterns and architecture.

  • Understanding the concept of web components

  • Experience with litHTML and litElement is considered a big plus

  • Strong skills working in a full-stack environment with REST API with both software development skills and experience in design and development of secure and high-performance applications.

  • Having good experience in web testing stack - Karma, Chai, Sinon , Jasmine.

  • Working knowledge one or more JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure.. )

  • Knowledge of Spring framework

  • Understanding of security standards

  • Familiar with modern Continuous Integration tools/platforms

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience in Agile / Scrum.
