
Data Foundation Business Analyst
We are looking for a Business Analyst in support of Data Foundation

We deliver one complete and consistent source of truth of Finance and Risk data made availablefor analysis, accounting and reporting through the data pipeline. We develop and support data management capabilities to execute and improve data and Data Management within ING. We support "running the bank" and business initiatives with the assets in the tribe.

Role and responsibilities
You will be a part of the tribe Data Foundation as a Business Analyst . Using your Finance and/or Risk experience you will focus on data management, data requirements, data definition & mapping, data onboarding and data modelling.
As an expert, you deliver the necessary knowledge and skills to make standard and best-in-class products/services for our data consumers. Besides that, you continuously deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills in your area of expertise within your chapter.
Your activities will be in the area of:
- Collaborating with the users, suppliers & stakeholders to get the best working product
- Eliciting & refining the data, regulatory & business requirements
- Breaking down deliverables in clear actionable stories/tasks together with the squad
- Delivering functional specifications
- Data mapping, modelling and validation
- Executing acceptance and other testing
Your work environment
- COO Risk & Finance (COORF) focuses on enabling and supporting the primary Risk & Finance capabilities through information management and analytics in the areas of Data Management, Project & Change Management, Operations, User support and Reporting.
- Openness in communication and “can do” mentality are important characteristics of this organisation.
- Tribe Data Foundation which consist of approx. 110 employees located in the Netherlands, India and Romania, is responsible for the Finance & Risk data delivery for analysis, accounting and reporting within the COORF organization & other parts of ING.
- Functionally, you will be working in a Scrum team with primary aim to support data delivery for regulatory reporting.
- Hierarchically, you will be part of the Business Analysis Chapter focusing on the Data Master Plan

Furthermore you have:
- University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) Degree
- Proven banking & product knowledge. Finance and/or Risk experience enabling understanding of banking products and their attributes
- Knowledge of, and experience with, analyzing large data sets and its quality
- Hands on proficient level of experience on SQL
- You have affinity with IT
- You have a passion for data management especially in the Risk & Finance context.
- You are energized by working on concrete and tangible results in a complex and continuously changing environment.
- You know exactly how to empathize with the needs of your users and translate this into a standard way of working and innovative products.
- You are flexible, you anticipates and prepare for opportunities and obstacles
