At Grid Digital Channels Capabilities we are responsible for the big websites of the bank like abnamro.nl, abnamro.com, intranet and many more. Also the generic capabilities for Internet banking like logon, signing, menus and navigation. And we support application for the Know Your Client processes. We make it possible that our great mobile apps can use our services to the back end. This all switching to use the newest technologies. You can make the impact for more than 5 million customers using our application 24/7.
Your job
As a Reliability Engineering (RE’s) your goal is to work together with a group of RE’s to define, test and measure the reliability of Internet Banking. Together with our delivery teams you will define metrics which contribute to a secure, high available and performing system. During the day you define and execute tasks that are needed to fulfil this goal. Together with the delivery teams you continuously share insights and improvements to further secure the system and to make it better performing and highly available for our customers. We are connect to backend services on the mainframe. In case of incidents, we have noticed that when these are often caused by issues in those backend services. Part of your responsibility will be to oversee the digital landscape and making our services more reliable. We do this by offering reliability tooling and measures to the internet banking teams and we offer them, on a recuring schedule, support after office hours.

Your profile

- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in production environments
- Experience in software development & Design Patterns (OOP, TDD, Reliability)
- Experience in reading and writing code (Java, C++, Python, Javascript)
- Experience in architecture, developing, and troubleshooting of large scale systems.
- Knowledge in and experience with cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
- Preference for knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering
- Preference for knowledge on setting up monitoring solutions (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Leadership skills (good communication, presenting, coaching, training)
