
Local Financial Crime Compliance Officer

As the Local Financial Crime Compliance Officer you provide advice on Financial Economic Crime (FEC) related matters, such as Anti Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Customer Tax. In this role you will contribute to a safe, secure and compliant bank. You strengthen the pivotal role of compliance as safekeeper of trust. You nurture and enhance a healthy risk culture across the organisation. You proactively drive risk-based decision making. You create true impact in compliance risk management execution. The Team
We are offering this position within the Bank Support Functions (BSF) team (7FTE), part of Corporate Functions Compliance, at Group Compliance.
BSF refers to approx. 25 Head Office departments who directly report to the Management Board (MBB), such as Risk, Operations, Global KYC, Global Procurement, etc. These departments are at the core of steering the ING Strategy with a global responsibility.
Roles and responsibilities

Act as the Compliance contact for Corporate (Head Office) Departments and advise on Financial Crime (FEC) Compliance related matters, such as AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Customer Tax;

Support in identifying, documenting and assessing the compliance risks associated with their key activities;

Enriching our way of working with your adherence to, and understanding of professional analytical standards and risk identification, assessment and mitigation;

Acting as trusted advisor in challenging and advising the first line in managing the compliance risks in their key activities and reporting and maintaining oversight on those;

Cooperate and support in line with ING’s values, in deepening the culture of compliance and ethical challenges (by amongst others contributing to continuous improvement of the policy and control framework awareness and training initiatives, encouraging and training on the Orange Code Dilemma Dialogue model).

3+ years professional experience in FEC risk management or banking experience that is relevant for compliance risk management;

Thorough understanding of FEC compliance legislation and regulations, trends and industry developments or capable to learn this with short period of time;

Strong understanding of relevant financial crime typologies, preventive controls and methods;

Passion for Integrity and Compliance, especially for spotting and managing FEC risks in the corporate environment;

You are a good communicator, being able to convey complex messages in simple way to bring adherence to “why” change is required to achieve effective management of FEC risks;

Independent thinker and critical mindset;

Excellent writing skills – fluent in written and spoken English;

A team player with a pragmatic and flexible attitude, able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a diversified and multicultural work environment;
